As a Palin backer but someone who is still closely examing all candidates, I’d give Perry a chance before ditching him. Despite his regrettable comments concerning immigration. But he’ll have to give one heck of a performance to regain his footing after the three poor performances so far. I’ve not been able to watch any of the debates since I’ve either been working or away from the tv. I need more evidence to make a judgment. Too early yet.
I agree. The obama administration is working behind the scenes on gun control. This scares me. Perry's strong support of Second Amendment rights trumps just about everything else for me. If Romney won the nomination by default, I wouldn't trust him on this issue.
I agree. I'm still in the Perry camp (though with less enthusiasm than before). Fortunately, he made his missteps early. There's a lot of time for him to refocus his message, clarify some uncomfortable statements he's made and sharpen his debating skills. It's not over for him by a long shot.
Of course, he could do the opposite, continue to crash and burn. The name 'Rudy Giuliani' comes to mind...
