I didn't see the "debate" but it does sound like Perry has made a mess of this issue. Having done searching on the status of the issue of in-state tuition for the children of illegals, I find that 11 states permit illegal immigrants to obtain in-state tuition. They are Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Nebraska, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wisconsin.

Some of these states are surprising.

Still, we are where we are and the truth is someone will get the nomination and I do not find a perfect one among the bunch. This election is not going to turn on the issue of in-state tuition for illegals. We must get back to the economy. Who is the best on that issue?

Right now all this makes Romney the clear front runner. Is that what we want?

Stop with Romney and Perry. Our candidate is right there in front of us. It is Cain. He is honest non political in otherwords a breath of fresh air. He can and will beat Obama if only we could stop focusing on Perry Romney. The media is electing our candidate again!! Until we start screaming our heads off, He will not get air time. They are setting us up to lose again. They chose McCain. Never again. Start writing and emailing. Get him out front. I don’t want any more of these talking heads. I want someone who us going to fix the problems. Cain has a business model which is outstanding. You can see his solutions aren’t poltical. He honestly has a plan that will work. Get him out front and watch him take off. Cain/Rubio. Oh yes we can!!!!

You're right this election isn't about in-state tuition fir illegals, but that to me is an indicator of how Perry will govern. If he's willing to sell the country out on this relatively "minor" issue, then what happens when congress passes a dream act type bill? Can we count on him to veto it? IMHO, if Perry is willing to compromise on this issue he's nothing but a typical progressive/RINO. Mitt Romney with a Texas accent.

This may be the last election this country has to turn things around. We can't afford 4 more years of Husein , OR a progressive-lite.

We've had a radical in office, it'll take a constitutionalist to get things headed in the right direction. Right now I'm leaning towards Cain, with either Palin or Bachmann in the VP slot (not that this will happen but we can hope)
