What the GOP needs to be taught is that hispandering never gets hispanic votes for the Republican Party, loses elections, and hurts the country. Rick Perry is more likely to support a path to legal status for illegal aliens than Bachmann or even Romney. I don’t think we need W 2.0 as our nominee.

Rick Perry is more likely to support a path to legal status for illegal aliens than Bachmann or even Romney.

In 2009 Romney believes that one way to attract more minorities to the GOP is to pass immigration reform before the next election, saying the issue becomes demagogued by both parties on the campaign trail.

What has Perry said that is worse than that? I don't know what either one of them would do.

You are correct. Perry would be a third term for George Bush. A better choice than a third term for Jimmy Carter, to be sure, but not an attractive one.

Romney's fascination with socialized medicine, while abhorrent, is nowhere near as damaging to this republic as Perry's fascination with open borders. State supported socialized medicine would only bankrupt the country one state at a time and could be reversed. Tens of millions of socialist voting instant citizens would bankrupt the whole country and could not be reversed.
