She's articulate, competent, knows tax law, knows DC ...

There's precious little evidence for her being articulate, none for the competance, and I'm struck by how quickly the "I'm a lawyer" enters her pronouncements. (She's almost as bad on that score as John "did I mention I served in Vietnam" Kerry.) And why you want someone who "knows DC" when DC is the source of almost all of our problems today is unfathonable.

Michelle Bachmann is a nice lady, a fine mother, and appears to have mostly decent values. She also is a back-bencher with virtually no legislative accomplishments at either the state or federal level. But I'm concerned by her lack of character, evidenced by her failure to speak up for Palin during the post-Tucson pile-on and her unleashing of the sleazeball Rollins to trash her. Palin helped Bachmann in the 2010 campaign; in return, MB appears ready to throw her under the bus to advance her own candidacy. If she becomes the GOP candidate, I'll vote for her - anyone is better than Obama - but without enthusiasm.

I’m sorry, I’m just not seeing the vitriol coming from her. I see a good, conservative, optimistic, informed America-loving patriot running for office and focusing on big issues. People like her: PPP released a poll yesterday showing her leading in Oregon and Montana - and that just a smattering. She will continue to rise - esp. if she has the spine of titanium to which she alludes.
