It would definitely be a first, as far as I know, if she were to actually sit on a jury in Alaska. Wonder if she’d be named jury foreman? Is there any reason why she wouldn’t pass the selection process other than it would create a media circus full of slobbering journalists from all over the world, waiting and baiting for scraps of info? On the basis of what, except the usual , uh, “bias” perceived by one side and agreed to by the other, would she be deemed unacceptable?I hate to even BEGIN to think about the media coverage no matter whether she was part of a unanimous verdict, or was the lone holdout out of principle.
She will be dismissed because of her well known status and political standing. Either side could use that against the ruling independent of the outcome of this trial.
