Jindal was born in Baton Rouge to parents who were here legally, and were legally under U.S. jurisdiction (i.e., not under diplomatic immunity, not soldiers of a foreign power at war against the U.S.). That means he's legally a U.S. citizen according to case law (U.S. v. Wong Kim Ark) and the obvious interpretation of the 14th Amendment.

(Whether he's an NBC eligible to run for President may, or may not, be a different question. Federal case law is crystal clear that he's a citizen, though.)

Right. My question was: Can Jindal run for POTUS?

Of course... legal scholars would be crawling out of the woodwork to say, “No!”
