OK, I gotta say that I love my fellow real conservatives, but Glenn Beck’s right: you gotta get off this non-issue.

Not only is it just plain wrong (Google the two newspaper birth announcements if you doubt it), but it’s also stupid and counterproductive to boot.

When you pursue this issue, you hand Obama a huge advantage — it makes you look crazy and him seem like the victim.

There are too many real reasons to object to this Socialist President, IMHO.

Hawaiian law allows for an application by a relative (say grandmother) for a child born “without the state or territory” and a birth certificate is issues. It would then be picked up by the newspaper or newspapers will run listings if you... drop by and tell them. I did one for my child. It proves NOTHING.

Obama can’t show us the long form because it would list the actual location of his birth (which could have been out of the country) and would list his actual parents. Obama may have been born with a different name (Steven Dunham has been suggested) and changed it for religious reasons later in life.

Chris Matthews and now John King are asking why Obama just won’t clear up this “kooky conspiracy” theory. Democrats are wondering why $2,000,000 dollars in campaign money is being used to defend this obviously nutty theory by shutting down cases on other issues, such as standing.

Even the Certificate of Live Birth has only been shown on Obama’s friend, FactCheck (he was on the board of the fund that pays for FactCheck) in photographs. No forensic document examiner has ever been given the chance to check out this document. It has never been introduced in a court of law.

Most recently someone obtained Obama’s Selective Service Registration Card. The Social Security Number Obama used on this card began with 042 — meaning he was born in the state of Connecticut.

Word went out that the FCC would be all over any broadcaster (Fox, Beck, BOR) if they brought up the “birther” issues. So they caved.

Good litmus test for Republican candidates: if they are unwilling to talk about Obama’s past it means they are in the tank, have no balls, and should be rejected as incapable of running a campaign that’ll take on Obama.

Certainly are a lot of trolls on here visiting these threads. Try again somewhere else. We know the facts and time is running out on Zero.

THERE IS A CANCER GROWING ON THE PRESIDENCY.

The way Trump is doing it is fine with me. He doesn’t claim anything, because there’s not much we actually have to claim. Asking the question is reasonable though, and calling out the community-organizer-in-chief for not only dismissing something which is a legitimate concern in our country, but is up there on the list of his hypocrisies for what he promised would be the most transparent administration ever.

There are more questions than regarding his birth certificate. There are questions regarding whether he has Indonesian citizenship, the lesser question of what his legal name actually is, the more important questions around his alleged multiple Social Security Numbers, whether he attended American universities as a foreign student, whether his Harvard education was paid for by the Saudi royal family. All of these are relevant to the trust he’s asking people to put in him as our president. They should have been asked in 2007 and 2008 but they weren’t. The birth issue itself isn’t even of right wing origin - it was brought to court initially by someone in Hilary Clinton’s campaign.

Glenn Beck’s right about many things, but he’s not right about this. Maybe he doesn’t fully understand what falls under the term used to deride people asking the question.

Trump doesn’t look crazy - he’s up 9 points above every other person in polls for the Republican nomination. People want to know what’s going on. It doesn’t seem like the current president is being completely honest about everything in his background. If it were just the embarrassment of his father not being named on it, or something like that, people would understand and get over it. But there’s a man sitting in military prison now as I type this who demanded further proof his commander in chief was eligible to command him and would have been avoided - he’d be with the rest of his unit now serving, if the original birth certificate were just shown. If you had someone under your command and all you had to do to keep them out of prison was to show your birth certificate, what would you as an American do? Part of the problem is that the office-holder’s contempt for America could be seen also in his contempt for this. If you asked him and most of his supporters whether it should matter if he were indeed born in Kenya, he and most of them are likely to say no. So their obfuscation is in part disrespect for laws they don’t agree with, though many of them at least go through the motions of swearing to uphold them.

And that brings me to what you’re saying about his socialist policies, because that’s in the same continuum. Socialist sense of entitlement is in feeling the law is what you say it is, what other people have should also be yours, that the world shouldn’t have borders, and so on. It all fits in to this.

You can focus on more than one thing. Or if you can’t, if Beck can’t, then he and you can leave other people to focus on other important things while you focus on what you’re more comfortable focusing on. Focusing on his socialism is part of it, focusing on the horrible things he’s done. But when trying to explain his incompetence combined with his malevolence, knowing how foreign he really is is important, knowing about his academic and legal achievement too. That’s what’s hidden from view as well by executive order. As far as I know, this is unique in American presidential history.

No advantage is actually handed to the office-holder by asking these questions. He claims it is, but do you trust him on other things? That should be significant. He no longer is able to dismiss it as fringe craziness because it never was, but it worked to for a while. The more people know about this issue, the more they want answers from him. That’s why sweeping it under the rug by attaching a stigma to anyone who dared to ask the question was their strategy. It hasn’t worked.

You get off the issue. We want to see the Won’s birth certificate and all of his hidden records. We want to see the same dirt the MSM would not hesitate to go after with every resource available to them if it were Palin instead of 0bama. We want to see them question 0bama for once and prove to us that we are wrong. Plus, I don’t like being called crazy when I am right.
