To 15 - You're correct in regard to some Palin supporters, but I'd say she still would have been the Veep nominee if she looked more like Jeane Kirkpatrick than 'Sarah Palin'.
A heckuva lot of Palin's appeal is due to her charisma and mindset, rather than her appearance.

Charisma?

Not years of executive experience? (Mayor of a town of 6,000 or "Community Organizer" doesn't really count outside of Affirmative Action circles.) Not foreign policy expertise? Not fund of knowledge? Not a long track record in actual office?

Just .... "Charisma and mindset"?

It's deja vu all over again.

When I was 5 years old in 1959, a very large percentage of the adults where I lived were just drooling over some guy with a ton of charisma. His name was Fidel Castro. By late 1960, the charisma had worn off and a very large number of those same adults moved to Miami.

President HOPE & CHANGE® had a ton of charisma too.

I won't mention somebody else to avoid Godwin's Law. He also had a ton of charisma

To vote for somebody because of skin color or gender is Affirmative Action.

To vote for somebody because of "Charisma" is just putting your brain on "Pause".

Oh, what the hell. Godwin's Law be damned. Let's see the reaction to CHARISMA!!!!
