Two more talk show hosts gave to Walker

Gov. Scott Walker has always been considered a radio talk show darling.

But who knew the talkers were actually opening their wallets to help him out?

Along with receiving $500 from Charlie Sykes, the first-term governor also got $150 from Jay Weber, who has a morning show on WISN-AM (1130), and $100 from John "Sly" Sylvester of WTDY-AM (1670) in Madison in 2009.

But wait - isn't Sly a liberal who has been appearing frequently at the Capitol protests against the first-term Republican governor?

Yep.

Sylvester said he was made the donation to Walker in an attempt to stick it to former U.S. Rep. Mark Neumann, Walker's primary opponent. Neumann ran against Sylvester's buddy, former U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold, in a tough 1998 campaign.

"If I could take that one back, I would," Sylvester said. "I was trying to create a little mischief."

Dylan Brogan, Sylvester's producer said his boss has been "taken aback by Walker's extreme actions and expected him to be more like Tommy Thompson than Haley Barbour."

Brogan said Sylvester's employer, Midwest Family Broadcasting, has no rules against hosts giving campaign donations.

Good thing.

Since January 2008, Sylvester gave nearly $1,000 to state candidates - most of them Democrats. He chipped in another $500 to a Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate in Kentucky.

Sylvester said he has given some $6,000 to Feingold over the years.

Weber, a conservative talk show host, contributed only the one donation of $150 to Walker in 2009. He was not immediately available for comment.

This is just too funny!

"Sly" you may recall was the Feingold-adoring moonbat who had 15 sec. of fame in his Bush-hating years for calling Condi Rice "Aunt Jemima". He's tried to redeem himself in two recent excursions to the O'Reilly Factor (the last one even wearing an ill-fitting suit) but spewed his usual left-wing pro-union, anti-Walker vitriol.

I suppose he figures he paid $100 for the privilege of bad-mouthing Walker, but should know that a hundred doesn't buy you much political clout nowadays.

But since Sly is one who has been advocating a boycott of Walker supporters, I guess now he's got to BOYCOTT HIMSELF! Maybe wear earplugs so he can't hear himself doing his own radio show? (Or maybe he should just slap himself around a bit..."get a little bloody..."

I tell you, we may be looking at a severe popcorn shortage before this is over!

I wish that was all that liberals tried to do.
