Im no conservative. And I'm certainly no intellectual. But I totally understand the freakout among conservative intellectuals over Sarah Palin. For a movement based on ideas, the former governor of Alaska and 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee who sits astride the party as a powerhouse fundraiser and potential king- or queenmaker has been uninterested in setting forth a vision crafted after years of thorough study to match her outsized influence.
The Atlantics Joshua Green wags his finger at those worry-wart Republicans: It's not hard to understand what these conservative intellectuals are trying to accomplish, he writes, They genuinely believe that a Palin candidacy would be disastrous, for their party and likely for their own influence over that party.
The they include George Will, Charles Krauthammer, Heather MacDonald and Matt Labash. They should be applauded for not bowing down at the altar of Palins (dwindling) popularity....

OK
What a load of BULLSHITE!!!
Sarah Palin’s political beliefs are probably among the best known of any public figure. Or is it not valid unless you get Bill Ayers to write your books for you?
This guy deserves to be smacked.
Maybe she will show some spunk.
Im no conservative. And I'm certainly no intellectual.
The end.
I love the woman. Is she Presidential material for 2012? Not sure.
But for me, Sarah embodies all that is good in this country. A stong belief in God, a deep devotion to family and family values. And strong conservative core beliefs. And I never missed an episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska. Absolutely loved the show.
And did I mention she’s beautiful and has an endearing, slightly goofy charm to her?
The Pope ain’t got nothing on this guy when it comes to pontificating.
I think that nails it. These Establishment Elitists would support Obama over a Tea Party leader. Kind of makes me think the establishments of both parties aren't really that different.
“conservative intellectuals”
Bahahahaha! Are those the RINO Washington elite who are scared to death that they will lose their power? Screw them!
This guy needs an official Nation of Islam bow tie, he would fit right in with them!
No, seriously, he's been on record as being against the tea party, U.S. Patriots and average, blue-collar Conservatives
assholes will always win ifn they can git you to eat yur bes leaders
yep
r.
Works every time.
U got it.
Conservatives are a movement of ideas? Who knew. Funny how this is today’s new meme.
Prior to today’s Journolisto TP, the movement was made up of racism and bigotry.
These people are so predictable.
Unless 2012 is a gimme, no one wants to get in. It is screaming hesitation for one reason—NO SALE. They don’t think they can beat Obama is the bottom line. All of our prima donnas want a sure thing and then want to be seen as
“leaders” when they do get in. How about leadership NOW, when nothing is sure, there are no gurantees, and Barbour even allows that we will be borrowing to fund our military in the future if nothing changes. We should have launched a strike for 2012 in November, for Pete’s sake, when we had them on the run, and virtually anybody could have won over Obama. Our guys are all underground, and a big loss that Pence, the brains and bonafides of the outfit, chickens out to run for a dang governorship. Geez.
Classic so called Conservatives (actually Elitist - “I’m next in line) supporters - some who are a.k.a RINOS - just cannot deal with Palin - because they would not be ‘Next in Line’...
Other fake Conservatives just want the ‘Old School’ ‘go along to get along attitude’ with the Democrats).... You know - the Repugs who just don’t get it...
The extreme criticism of Palin represents the failed mindset of rabid liberals...
Found this looking for his photo:

This “Divide to Conquer” campaign will continue until 11/5/2012. The Left is desperate to find a way to undermine Conservatives and driving a wedge between groups has always been a mainstay of the Left.
Horse hockey.
Such a disgusting PC quota thing.
I tired of these hit-n-run posters on FR, who don’t read the article but just post “yeah, well she deserve it” and you never hear from them again....are they trolls? heh!
