Karl Rove Now Openly Mocking Palin…
Weasel Zippers ^ | February 28, 2011

Rove represents the worst of the elitist GOP establishment.

Via NY Mag

…One week before the 2010 midterm elections, Rove took aim at Sarah Palin, questioning the wisdom of her appearance on a reality show, Sarah Palin’s Alaska, if she really wanted to be taken seriously as a presidential candidate. Palin lacked the “gravitas” to be president, went a subhead in the U.K.’s Daily Telegraph.

Rove later tried wriggling out of his comments, as well as observations he made in a German magazine that tea-partiers weren’t “sophisticated,” being unfamiliar, as Rove was, with intellectuals like the economist Friedrich August von Hayek. But Rove’s backhands weren’t accidental, nor was he the victim of outrageous tabloid reporting. When I bring up his statements about Palin during our interview, Rove says only that he wished he’d made his comments on Fox News instead—before going into a withering impersonation of Palin, recalling a scene from her TV show in which she’s fishing.

“Did you see that?” he says, adopting a high, sniveling Palin accent: “‘Holy crap! That fish hit my thigh! It hurts!’”

“How does that make us comfortable seeing her in the Oval Office?” he asks, disgusted. “You know—‘Holy crap, Putin said something ugly!’”

Karl Rove is more aligned with Obama than he is with the American people which he looks down upon.

Rove said on Rush’s show when he was pushing his book, that he had a great amount of respect for Ted Kennedy, the same man who was working with the Soviets behind Reagans back in the 80’s.

But shows no respect to patriots like Palin.

Yet he shows no respect to the Tea Party and freedom loving Americans and despises them.

I am done with Hannity, in my mind he has sold out to the establishment and refuses to speak the truth about these elites that are destroying our country.

Carville(Democrat): "It's a feel-good story, this Romney thing.
Romney is an ascendant guy."

"Rove is pushing Romney so aggressively some folks are beginning to wonder what's going on," grumbled one veteran Republican strategist."

"Rove has made no secret of his support for Romney as McCain's VP. "

I’m thinking that the best place for Rove is in Egypt, pounding sand. That ought to keep him occupied for a couple of years.

Rove and a couple of potential presidential candidates appear on Fox regularly. If Palin and Huckabee use that platform to promote themselves, then it’s straightforward and above board. But when Rove appears as an analyst, but is in reality a political operative with a personal agenda (admitted or not), then that seems to make his entire gig on Fox into a phony and dishonest charade.

No better example than how he used that platform to throw a hissy fit and trash Christine O’Donnell repeatedly on the night of her primary victory over his preferred candidate.
Since that night, I’ve thought he should not be on Fox as any sort of commentator or analyst. He’s an operative with an agenda, on and off the air.

“The establishment, on BOTH sides if the aisle, are scared absolutely to death of Sarah Palin!”

U got that right. Rove doesn’t represent the GOP.

He represents the Establishment on both sides.

‘Whoever thought Christine O’Donnell should be a senator deserved to have their faces rubbed in it.’

And what about the idiots who supported Mike Castle, when he wasn’t good enough to beat Christine O’Donnell in a primary, after representing the voters in Congress and as Governor for decades? He must have been real trash to lose to such a loser, correct?

I stopped FNC because I got tired of seeing Karl Rove and other members of the Bush Wing (formerly the Rockefeller Wing) of the GOP on every show.

The last thing we need is a candidate who takes the advice of a “Big Government Republican” like Rove.

“Pumpkinhead” Rove has a bigger head than most Minor League Baseball mascots.

Sorry, Christine O’Donnell may not have been as good a candidate as she seemed at first. And she might have lost even if the Establishment had supported her or kept quiet, since Delaware is a very liberal state.

But Karl Rove disgraced himself by repeatedly attacking her AFTER she was nominated. What, exactly, did that accomplish, aside from making him look like the traitorous jerk that he is?

So instead of running down Sarah Palin, how about you name this superior candidate we should all get behind.

, I assure you that plenty of Tea Party folks are quite familiar with the works of Hayek, von Mises, and Rothbard.

I have about thirty books by those three, and Carl Menger, Eugen von Böhm-Bawerk. All were geniuses. Many Tea Party supporters are quite familiar with the Austrian School of economics.

As an aside, I consider Mise's Human Action to be a masterpiece of supreme intellectual thought. I my opinion, Mises' is an intellectual equal of Einstein.

Yes and no. He was a liberal, who probably could have won statewide. But the tea party movement came upon him, and he got primaried. Which is all well and good, unless of course, you replace him with a moronic grifter with no visible means of income besides chacing tv cameras.

What it shows is that the GOP voters in DE--especially the tea party voters--have poor judgement.

“And as a political “architect” he’s been a proven loser.”

Bush vs Gore should have never been close with all those Clinton/Gore scandals. Bush should have won by 5 or 6 points.

My premise is that a) Michael Castle lost all on his own (lack of) merits. b) Blaming teapartiers for his defeat was the kind of denial we seem to see a lot of these days. c) When Romney loses, the same people will be similarly unable to face the facts, and will be looking for scapegoats.

Rove didn't help O'Donnell, that's for sure. Would O'Donnell have won if Rove hadn't gone on the attack? Nope.

“When Palin loses” is my issue with your statement. Firstly, I think she stands good chance of winning. Secondly, I just don't view Rove as significant enough anymore to blame him for anything. His time has come and gone.

However, it's apparent Rove will be an active player in a Romney campaign. When Romney loses, will people be blaming Rove for Romney's loss?

Her negatives?

On what policies or stances?

All you clowns out there can’t point to one policy that she is not on the right side of.

If you want to debate who is right on the issues and more importantly will actually make the necessary change lets go.

But if your just going to throw out baseless claims that she is a weak candidate based on nothingness, then you are just another RINO operative and not worth the time of day.

How dare he have the audacity to call the sitting senator from Delaware "unelectable." Oh, wait a minute . . . .

Rove has already chosen his candidate and will spend the next eighteen months trying to chisel away at those threatening his candidate and his return to power and fame. Karl, start representing We the People instead of yourself if you want back into the White House. The whining is unbecoming.

Christine O’Donnell deserves our thanks for ending the political career of Mike Castle, who is probably one of your heroes.
