Im with Ann. Palin has no shot. Lets be realistic, people.
...........................................................
At this point after two years it’s honestly very tiring to respond to a comment like this. The best I can muster at the moment is to ask if you are serious. If Palin runs and holds her own, who can beat her? That’s correct, no one. I say this to you with all due respect.
Go Mark, I’m with you....
“He is the best annalist of these sort of things.”
‘annalist’??
It’s hard to take you seriously when you spell like that.
I have a few concerns about Chris Cristie on some key issues. However, if he is in the VP slot on a Palin ticket, it could make the election very entertaining.
He is the best annalist of these sort of things.
*********
annalist??
Its hard to take you seriously when you spell like that.
Well the spelling of the word is correct. However did he really mean to describe Levin in that context or did he intend something else?
Levin, like his jabbering buddy Ann, BOTH completely miss the point: CHRISTIE IS NOT RUNNING IN 2012. That's the end of the discussion. Everything else is just blah, blah, blah.
OTOH, what are the odds that Christie gets asked to be the VP on the GOP ticket? 100%. What are the chances he is the FIRST choice? 100%. But he has ruled that out also, saying there is NO chance. In fact, he says not just in 2012, but that he would not consider being ANYBODY's Vice President.
Which makes sense to me. Real leaders don't want to be second banana. So, in short, this is much ado about nothing.
That's funny.
Don't know how, but Huckabee lost a ton a weight and then ran for presidency.
I’m not sure Levin said that. It’s not in quotes. I think the author of this piece said that. But I can’t tell because the link doesn’t work. It’s unclear that Levin endorsed anyone. The only quote that is clearly attributed to him is the one about Ann and Christie.
I would hope Sarah`s first choice might be West? But you could be right, perhaps she will ask Cris C?
I think West would be the wisest pick IMHO
He's only 48, and hasn't even finished one term as governor. That hardly qualifies someone for the presidency. He says he's not ready yet, and he is sufficiently challenged by his current job.
So, whoever wins the GOP nod will have to look elsewhere for a VP candidate. Palin would need someone else anyway--she needs someone with MORE experience than her.
I don’t even think she’s going to win the nomination, but time will tell. For a while I was hoping she wasn’t going to run, but lately, it’s starting to look like she definitely is running.
What’s interesting about Ann’s analysis is that she was in Romney’s corner last time in 2007 and 2008. Now she’s completely dismissing him as a loser.
She has a good shot, but the scope must be sighted correctly.
Love your paternalistic tone, "let's be realistic, people".
Urine-aunt and you can crawl into the same out house and lament Sarah's win, but do be realistic about...people.
It is very early in the 2012 Prez run. The fact that she shows up at all is a good indication that she has a shot at it.
The statement she released addressing the unions is very, very good, Presidential in many ways, without sacrificing the main point. (I am a former union member and her statement will resonate with many current union members.)
She is going to surprise a lot of people.
We won’t know that until she runs. I find it amusing getting upset that she’d even enter the race. She will make her own destiny and she is the only one with the positions and ability to fight back. And let us not forget the attacks will not be exclusive to Palin. They would be waiting for any challenger. They have not landed a knockout and they know it even with all the demonizations and slander. Palin will not back down and I look forward to her opening a lot of people’s eyes during the campaign.
That`s just media spin that she is inexperienced. Now Huck on the other hand, 2 term Gov of a small state, he may need someone to help him out :)
Palin West 2012
I think if Palin or anyone else wants to run, they should run.
That is what we have campaigns, debates, and primaries for.
Let them show their stuff and then let the people decide.
We might all be surprised.
City council and Mayor of a town with a population of about 5,000. Yeah, it’s experience. Almost as much experience as this guy, who serves my town:
And yeah, she almost completed a whole term as Governor.
It’s a mighty thin resume. I would think that if people turn on Obama, they’ll be looking for someone with solid experience, not another experiment.
