I have been saying for months that we’re probably going to lose the Whitehouse. The party is hopelessly divided. Sarah Palin doesn’t fix that, she exacerbates it. Giving her your lunch money doesn’t change that. It didn’t help Ron Paul either.

No comparison between Ron Paul and Sarah Palin.

Ron Paul is a kook, and so are a good portion of his supporters.

Sarah Palin appeals to a wide swath of the base, notwithstanding flawed polls that say otherwise, that oversample groups or undersample other groups or poll anything that breathes besides likely voters.

Palin is inevitable. She resonates with the Broken-glass republicans that will be voting in the Primaries.

Furthermore, the more both the GOP elites and the Left trash her, the more the base will rally around her.
