It’s a shame. McCain could have had one of the best stories, ever. Sitting in a NVA prison for years, praying to come home to the USA in one piece.
Was it the riches that steered him wrong? Seems that money does that to people.
Whatever- he squandered the anointing.
Sarah has it going on.
McCain praised Obama personally when he was running against him in the 2008 race.
I hope all those horse’s @$$es in Arizona who re-elected this vemonous jerk are proud of themselves.
How soon before McCain makes noise about switching parties?? OK he doesn’t have to be totally hostile to BH0 but to call him a patriot is downright delusional. Has he not been listening to a word the man has said for 2 years?!
BTTP
Uh, let’s make that BTTT
I would have preferred McCain had won the presidency and then the Obots would have went bonkers challenging his natural born citizenship status. I'd root for the Obot idiots on where SCOTUS would find McCain ineligible for office.
Hmmmmm...that makes Ms. Palin a good choice...
Damn I thought you wanted me to come back to this God-forsaken planet....
That is still by far the lesser evil. The alternative was communists heading up noth major parties. As students of history well understood.

Recall that McCain grabbed the mike from the little old lady who was asking questions about Obama. McCain repremended her saying something like ‘No, no, he is a good man and will make a good president’. At that moment I wondered what goes with McCain. Later it dawned to me that McCain was of the same cabal that gave us Clinton and Obama. He came up through the candidates like a streak of lightening. The Bushes didn’t do much to help save us from the cabal.

McCain. GOP Certified ‘Conservative’.
Always vote for, and only for, GOP/RNC ‘Certified’ Conservatives. Trust the GOP/RNC label for Quality, Job 1!
See the Exciting, New Model GOP/RNC Conservative, Mitt Romney soon!
You may be right. And I'm serious about that. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be true. Term limits (and possibly age limits -- 75-years-old max) are needed for Congressmen, Senators and judges.
There have been a few too many “conservatives” slobbering all over 0bama’s speech..Did you hear Jeb Bush on Horaldo tonight?
Too bad McCain doesn’t campaign year-round like his bud.
these are two totally different contexts. One was Palin BEFORE the shootings. The other was McCain in some make-nice op-ed AFTER the shootings. Of course he’s going to say he’s a patriot. I don’t think he believes it but an op-ed like this is par for the course. Go back to other issues before the shootings like DADT and McCain was pretty intense about Obama’s policies.
Gov Palin was simply stating Obama’s on words from back in 2006 when he said that raising the debt ceiling weakens America. Here’s what he said:
Increasing Americas debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.
So in 2006, when the debt was only 9T, Obama said raising it weakens us. Now he wants to raise it past 14T. Ergo, by Obama’s own standard he must want to weaken the country.
By the way, here’s Harry Reid in 2006:
Because most Americans know that increasing debt is the last thing we should be doing. After all, I repeat, the Baby Boomers are about to retire. Under the circumstances, any credible economist would tell you we should be reducing debt, not increasing it.Democrats wont be making argument to supper this legalization, which will weaken our country. Weaken our county.
He too said it would weaken the country. And repeated it in case you missed the first time.
It’s a total lack of journalistic integrity to compare the two statements. One was BEFORE the shooting the other was AFTER. He makes it appear as if after the shooting she’s trying to make political hay and attacking Obama while McCain took the high road.
No surprise coming from the Washington Post.
Dead on the money. Where are the GOP sissies? Cat got their tongues?
