It’s a shame. McCain could have had one of the best stories, ever. Sitting in a NVA prison for years, praying to come home to the USA in one piece.

Was it the riches that steered him wrong? Seems that money does that to people.

Whatever- he squandered the anointing.

Sarah has it going on.

McCain praised Obama personally when he was running against him in the 2008 race.

I hope all those horse’s @$$es in Arizona who re-elected this vemonous jerk are proud of themselves.

How soon before McCain makes noise about switching parties?? OK he doesn’t have to be totally hostile to BH0 but to call him a patriot is downright delusional. Has he not been listening to a word the man has said for 2 years?!

Seems we dodged a bullet in 2008.

I would have preferred McCain had won the presidency and then the Obots would have went bonkers challenging his natural born citizenship status. I'd root for the Obot idiots on where SCOTUS would find McCain ineligible for office.

Then we would have gotten president Palin. Smoken Smily LoL.

"Seems we dodged a bullet in 2008."

Wasn't much of a choice - obama vs. obama lite.

No, we didn't dodge a bullet. We got an Undocumented Kenyan / Indonesian / Haw Socialist bowing-worshiper and apologizer for islam and the cult of mad mo

That is still by far the lesser evil. The alternative was communists heading up noth major parties. As students of history well understood.

Recall that McCain grabbed the mike from the little old lady who was asking questions about Obama. McCain repremended her saying something like ‘No, no, he is a good man and will make a good president’. At that moment I wondered what goes with McCain. Later it dawned to me that McCain was of the same cabal that gave us Clinton and Obama. He came up through the candidates like a streak of lightening. The Bushes didn’t do much to help save us from the cabal.

Perhaps one of us should mail him a hardbound RADICAL-IN-CHIEF by Stanley Kurtz that goes into detail as to what the Kenyan is. But would he even read it. I doubt it. Strangely however... based on what I read in the new book by Charles Gasparino titled Bought and Paid For.... almost every big wall street bank embraced the Kenyan, and not McCain, fearing he would not support their ways in general on a number of now glaring issues.
McCain is a enigma in some respects. His early full support of conservative principles, but deviates on things like immigration that he knows is wrong as practiced. Yes, I know and have on this site made the fact known that Ronnie did not exactly do well in that particular issue either.
But most probably many of us hear feel it is time for the old Naval Aviator to move on. Sort of get the hell out of the way already.
I may sign off shortly. Past my bed time. But I will not ignore criticism or otherwise by not responding tomorrow, if some feel they want to respond. I do not solicit response. Just giving my two cents.
Do have a great upcoming day.
PS. Some may have noticed I push the two books referenced above. I think they should be considered by every Freeper for their library.

"Try "none of the above." McCain is a mental basketcase, PTSD and Stockholm Syndrome from the captivity, exacerbated by advancing senile dementia."

You may be right. And I'm serious about that. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be true. Term limits (and possibly age limits -- 75-years-old max) are needed for Congressmen, Senators and judges.

these are two totally different contexts. One was Palin BEFORE the shootings. The other was McCain in some make-nice op-ed AFTER the shootings. Of course he’s going to say he’s a patriot. I don’t think he believes it but an op-ed like this is par for the course. Go back to other issues before the shootings like DADT and McCain was pretty intense about Obama’s policies.

Gov Palin was simply stating Obama’s on words from back in 2006 when he said that raising the debt ceiling weakens America. Here’s what he said:

Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that “the buck stops here.” Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.

So in 2006, when the debt was only 9T, Obama said raising it weakens us. Now he wants to raise it past 14T. Ergo, by Obama’s own standard he must want to weaken the country.

By the way, here’s Harry Reid in 2006:

Because most Americans know that increasing debt is the last thing we should be doing. After all, I repeat, the Baby Boomers are about to retire. Under the circumstances, any credible economist would tell you we should be reducing debt, not increasing it.Democrats won’t be making argument to supper this legalization, which will weaken our country. Weaken our county.

He too said it would weaken the country. And repeated it in case you missed the first time.

It’s a total lack of journalistic integrity to compare the two statements. One was BEFORE the shooting the other was AFTER. He makes it appear as if after the shooting she’s trying to make political hay and attacking Obama while McCain took the high road.

No surprise coming from the Washington Post.

Btw, where was McCain's statement defending her this week? And Romney? Did he not think millions of Tea Party citizens, and Palin need defending? How about Rove..on TV 7 nights a week...except last week? Pence? Christie slammed her and praised Obama as usual...he is useless. T-Paw slammed her..then backtracked. Jeb Bush slammed conservatives in general, and praised the media. Where was Bobby Jindal? Bunch of sissies.

Dead on the money. Where are the GOP sissies? Cat got their tongues?
