It is beginning to look like the GOP has declared open season on Mama Grizzlies- or at least one Mama Grizzly. Many Republicans are losing their willingness to stay silent about Sarah Palin, and the latest is Maine Republican Senator Susan Collins who has always been a moderate politically. New Englands Republicans have been reluctant to cater to the Tea Party because it is not a very strong movement in the region. Vermonts Tea Party rallies have attracted around a hundred people, for instance.
Senator Collins feels that former Governor Palin cost the Republicans control of the Senate with her endorsements of Christine ODonnell, Sharron Angle, Carly Fiorina, Ken Buck John Raese, and Joe Miller, among others.
Collins does not believe that Palin will run for President stating I think she likes being a celebrity commentator for Fox and a speaker and being able to provide for her family. I think that life appeals to her. Its a lot easier to charge people up than actually govern.
She also stated about Palin and Republican Senator Jim DeMint they cost us two seats we could have won, referencing Delaware and Nevada.
Collins also believes that if Joe Miller fails to unseat Lisa Murkowski in Alaska, that her power will be weakened considerably. Collins is up for reelection in 2014. Senior Maine Senator Olympia Snowe is up for reelection in 2012, and may find herself in the crosshairs of the Tea Party movement the same way that Scott Brown is right now. Brown is also up for reelection in 2012.
I just decided a couple of weeks ago that I want Sarah to be president. She has bigger, brassier gonads than all those guys in the GOP. She has great instincts, spine of steel, morals, very good record on taking on corruption and the corrupt bastards of Alaska. She is not as right as the left pretends. For example, she was sent a bill to sign as governor relating to marriage/no same sex couples. She vetoed it stating that it was for the people to decide not the legislature.
Do they really want a third party to form? ‘cause they sure are pushing it.
Collins needs an enema!POS Alert!
The gloves are off, and the war is on!
This from a woman who sounds mentally deficient when she speaks.
I see Brown losing. He was elected to stop Obama, he failed and then he dissed the base that elected him by becoming a RINO overnight. I doubt the money will be there, the support isn’t there and the dems will not vote for him. Brown will not win re-election unless of course the dems put up another idiots like martha.
but i am eagerly awaiting the establishment showing us Tea party people how to elect a RINO in a bluestate....
Big mistake.
Who is advocating making an “idol” of Governor Palin? Conservatives don’t need a pied piper to lead them to Nirvana like the Kool-Aid drinkers seem to want. I advocate a committed, strong conservative for the office of president. So far, that means Governor Palin. If someone stronger shows up, that’s who I’ll support. No more McCains, Doles, Rockefellers, Lindsays, Fords or Nixons.

they just have not seen a real leader for so long that they are having a problem explaining what leadership is and confusing being a leader and with idols and such
Ms Palin stands for the people and America.
What do you stand for, Ms. Collins except looking stupid?
They are doing our work for us...one by one, standing up and announcing that they are proud members of The Establishment.
Saves us on overhead when they paint their own bullseyes on their foreheads...electorally speaking, of course!
Good poll numbers coming out for Palin in ME tomorrow?
Maybe Sen. Collins will pull a Roseanne Roseannadanna: “Nevermind!”
Brown might lose, it will be interesting to see if a decent choice can be made in the primary. My guess is he won’t face one, in the General I think he has a decent chance. Rumors have Joe Kennedy or Vicki Kennedy running - and we saw what the machine did on the 2nd, but as disappointed as we are here the independents in Mass are happy.
I’ll vote for him again over any Kennedy, any of the current Mass Delegation - I know, low standards.
Ya left out Javits, Wilson and Pataki. ;)
Sarah had huge crowds in NH in 2008, I think she has solid support in Maine & NH, not so much elsewhere in NE - don’t get me wrong she has support throughout but not enough to pull districts, etc the way they are gerrymandered here.
I’m in Maine. The TEA party is alive and well here.
We just elected a TEA Party man, Paul LePage, as Governor of Maine a week ago. When he takes office, Maine will have one of the most conservative governors in the country.
The Maine House and Senate were also won by Republicans.
I met Olympia Snowe in a supermarket aisle here in Maine in late August. She was with her husband, a two-term governor of Maine himself. I spoke to the two of them for 20 minutes.....they were both very kind and friendly. No one else seemed to notice them or paid any attention to their presence in the supermarket. At one point, I crossed my fingers, held them in front of Sen. Snowe’s face, and said, “I hope Sarah Palin runs in 2012!”
She smiled, and nodded her head.
Both Senator Snowe and her husband made it clear that they supported the election of the TEA Party candidate for governor.
As for Sharron Angle and Christine O’Donnell, perhaps if the national Republican party / GOP establishment had supported these two women, the results on November 2nd in those two Senate races would have been better.
