A new KSTP/SurveyUSA poll shows Republican Tom Emmer and DFLer Mark Dayton in a dead heat in the race for governor.
Released Thursday, the poll results show Dayton with a razor-thin, one-point lead of 39 to 38 percent. Independence Party candidate Tom Horner sits at 13 percent.
The poll's margin of error is plus or minus four percent. It includes two percent more Republicans than Democrats, which is consistent with national polling.
The poll shows Emmer has expanded his lead among men by two points, while Dayton's lead among women has fallen 14 points since earlier this month. Emmer leads by five points among people ages 18 to 49; Dayton has a nine-point lead among those over age 50.

I was at the Emmer campaign HQ doing some data entry and everyone seems tired but optimistic. An internal poll done for Emmer's campaign shows this to be a tie race as well.
If you have time, you should volunteer to do some phoning for Emmer and the rest of the GOP ticket. They need help especially in the 3rd Congressional District (the southern and western suburbs of Minneapolis).
As for me, I've got some lit drops to do tomorrow and/or Sunday. Like I said, keep the faith and get the word out that this race is NOT over!

“An internal poll done for Emmer’s campaign shows this to be a tie race as well.”
—Emmer press release:
“To make sure voters have more accurate and statistically reliable information about the Minnesota Governors race, the Emmer Campaign today is releasing results from its own internal poll conducted on October 24th and 25th by Public Opinion Strategies. The poll of 500 likely voters shows the race for Governor tied: Dayton 40, Emmer 40, Horner 13. The poll has margin of error ±4.38% and is more in line with recent results from Survey USA and Rasmussen and in stark contrast to the ridiculous polling done by the Star Tribune and MPR.”
If it’s close, expect widespread cheating by the Daytonites and Dumb for Lifers.
Wonder where the trunkful of absentees will come from this time?

—There is a new group that formed to try to monitor the fraud in MN:
“Group forming to monitor polls for vote fraud”
“A new coalition is organizing a program to prevent voter fraud in the Nov. 2 election
Election Integrity Watch is recruiting volunteers to join what it calls surveillance teams to observe polling places, organizers from the Tea Party, Minnesota Majority and Minnesota Voters Alliance announced Thursday. How many polls they will monitor depends on how many volunteers sign up.
The volunteers will be asked to photograph and videotape suspected irregularities and in some cases follow buses that take voters to the polls.
Jeff Davis of Minnesota Majority said the poll watchers will look for things like buses taking large number of voters to polling places, and then going to another location so they can vote again. They also will monitor how a same-day registration law is carried out; the law allows a person to vouch for up to 15 people, saying they are eligible to vote.
Those working with Election Integrity Watch are asked to wear buttons saying, Please I.D. me, referring to the organizations belief that requiring voters to show photo identifications would curb voter fraud. Attempts to pass a law requiring Photo IDs have failed.
Minnesota Majority claims that hundreds of felons voted illegally in 2008 and up to 40 people may have voted in both Wisconsin and Minnesota. The group also says that 23,000 people registered to vote on election day, and voted, but their addresses cannot be verified...”

thanks. I will sign up to do some work.
40% of our MN citizens will evidently vote for a paranoid and dangerous drunk further diagnosed with clinical depression.
I still think Emmer can win this.
Yep, Democrat voters have a second liberal option in the Independence party, they won’t realize conservatives got wise, it’s funny how they are now saying polls are confusing about who supports Horner. Plus Emmer is the only candidate who truly seems enthusiastic about having the job
