Democratic Governor Joe Manchin has been in overdrive in recent days to distance himself from President Obama and congressional Democrats, and now hes edged back into a three-point advantage in West Virginias U.S. Senate race.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely West Virginia Voters finds Manchin with 49% support to Republican John Raeses 46%. Two percent (2%) like another candidate in the race, while four percent (4%) remain undecided.

I suspect a world of cell phones and I-phones has made these robo calls polls obsolete.
So like the others have stated , its all about turn out.
Most of these polls are only meant to manipulate voter turn out.
Does anyone recall the Boston Glob PUSH poll that showed Brown behind by 15 points a week before the election ?
Did the Boston Globe get dragged into court for trying to manipulate an election result ?
Nothing is ever said or done to these Dem Media outlets when their PUSH polls are proven to Way off and Fraudulent !
RCP still has that BOGUS Marshall Univ “Poll” done 1st Week of October that showed Manchin 10 points ahead ! BS
Ras called last night.........*click!*
BAD BAD NEWS...RR is matching PPP.....If the people of WVA are really that stupid to think he is gonna distence himself from Bama then they deserve him
The winner still would have to run again in 2012, right?
Yes..and that’s why Manchin might switch right after this election..if he wins..it’ll be very close..and no way he could win again in 2012 with Obama atop the ticket...
LLS
This state voted McCain, Bush, Bush. I refuse to believe that Manchin will win this.
If so, every coal miner will certainly lose his job.
And they voted Byrd, Byrd, Byrd, Byrd, Byrd, Byrd, Byrd, Byrd, Byrd....
Don’t forget, he’s up for re-election in 2 years. This is a special election. He will have to vote lock step with Repubs for 2 years no matter what.
I’ve felt all along this guy would end up pulling it out. He’s got near 70% approval as the governor right? Looks like it is trending his way.
He is very loved as governor which is why I thought the Republican would use that as a tactic throughout the state. Basically saying “We have an incredible governor of the state so why would we give him up for Washington D.C.?” I think that would have worked great....it would be a win-win for everyone.
good one !
he does not "deserve" to lose....
the rats all over the country have hid behind their "conservative" ideals...remember, the rat congress from 4 yrs ago was supposed to be "conservative" too...
this is an extremely important seat and I hope Raese can pull it out....
don’t count on any blue dogs....they’re dogs, period....
Ah. No worries! Thanks!
This matches PPP, which is bad. Hopefully good GOP turnout will help Raese.
