Former Bush adviser Karl Rove said Sunday that 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin would be a serious contender if she runs for president in 2012, but he dodged a question about whether she would make a good president.
Asked Sunday on CBS's "Face the Nation" whether the former governor of Alaska was strong presidential timber, Rove took a pass.
"I don't know if she runs or not and if she would be a formidable candidate. But, look, there are going to be several geological ages that are going to come and go before the 2012 Republican presidential nomination fight gels," Rove said.
"Every one of these prospective candidates, if they decide to enter the race, has strengths that they need to work on magnifying and weaknesses that they need to endeavor to overcome or challenges that they need to overcome. And we don't know how that's going to play out," Rove said...

Didn’t I just see that she’s only down by six points now?
Friday Jeb Bush said he would support her if she runs and this today..... could it be the GOP realizes the one with too much baggage it Mitt Romney and may be deciding to place their bets on Sarah?
Everywhere you look she’s already placed on the same level as Mr. Obama (see the current Drudge Report) and that’s even by her enemies. They tried to destroy her, but they didn’t realize she’s a frontier woman, unlike them, who are latte-sipping metrosexuals and harpies. They brought a rubber knife to a gunfight and they’re finally realizing it.
He gave Sheiffer hell for his damn democrat hypocrisy,...LOL. Had to backtrack on and clarify on Rush.
Sarah Palin comments are saved for last. HE DODGES THE QUESTION! (IDIOT ROVE)
My wife is preparing a wonderful dinner for the two of us; I'd rather not ruin it... :-)
Rove and Romney are the enemy.
Mitt Romney: "I'm not a partisan politician. My hope is that, after this election, it will be the moderates of both parties who will control the Senate, not the Jesse Helmses."
I thought it was a very good interview. Rove did an excellent job in pointing out the liberal hypocrisy.
I think so too. Unfortunately Rove is now a full fledged member of the ruling class.
Palin frightens Republicans who are comfortable with the status quo. I honestly don't know if that is good or bad.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Rove work for Romney or Huckabee, or some other guy...probably not for a woman though...which reminds me: women who might be in the arena in 2012:
Hillary Clinton Sarah Palin, or Michelle Bachmann (not both)
Are there any other women who will run for President in 2012, does anyone think?
Is it possible that Rove is a Raging Moderate?
***** “Rove needs to curl up in a ball and live the rest of his life a lonely, despised, bitter man. Any GOP candidate that embraces him should be shunned.” *******
I was thinking ignored but “shunned” works for me!
TT
LOL. I like your “raging”. He sure believes in the big tent. When he’s good, he’s very good. But he lost me when he went off on Christine O’Donnell.
As he sticks 5 knives in her back Feb.- Aug. 2012.
If she somehow helps O’Donnell to a victory, Palin will be golden.
They’ll try to use that one endorsement against her if she loses, but they’ve been trying 24/7 to destroy her since September of 2008. How’s that seem to be working for them?
That was a great interview. He really stuck it to Schieffer.
He forcefully defended the Tea Party and Rush Limbaugh, in addition to declaring that Palin would be a formidable candidate.
The best part was him taking Schieffer apart over the anonymous campaign donations! He made Schieffer look like an idiot (not truly difficult, I admit).
Thanks for the link.
Glad to get a smile. Sometimes we need to lighten it up a bit. ;D)
he's a ruling class primadonna and I'll never listen to him...
Watch the video, Rove says that Sarah would be formidable.
