They endanger the RINO establishment.
The NYT spends all of it’s time beating up on Republicans, but then when the voters turn around and throw the old GOP bums out, suddenly they become posterchildren for “reasonable” Republicans the NYT can work with.
The NYT has been working with many of these RINOs all along.
