Off topic but I wish there was a way to let them know that http://christine2010.com/ has been down for a while!
Last I checked (about 6pm EST) she was up to $1,800,000+/-.
Christine is a worrisome candidate and, unless things get immediately resolved at her initiative, the entirety of this is going to be a down-ballot disaster in DE. Witness today her past words regarding “dabbling in witchcraft” — this will not play well in DE, regardless of the state of the economy. Her cancellation on Fox News Sunday is a sign of concern or perhaps a need to get re-organized before she says something additionally stupid.
I wish Christine well, and I have encouraged people to vote for her. That said, in the determination to punish Castle, the GOP has most likely been left with a deeply compromised candidate. Not paying your mortgage or college loans is one thing; dabbling in witchcraft and discussing masturbation will not play well in DE. O’Donnell has been insufficiently vetted, and more relavations are yet to come.
To all freepers: I am asking ALL of my friends and family to vote for O’Donnell. However, Castle would have waltzed into the Senate seat for an immediate +1 GOP seat for the GOP. Castle would have served four years of the Biden term and then retired. He would NOT have switched parties. And, given Castle’s war chest, they were planning a $5 MM GOTV for ALL GOP candidates in DE, including conservative Colin Bonini and numerous House conservative GOP challengers. We actually had a shot at reclaiming the DE House this cycle; that is now likely gone. Every conservative local candidate has told me that with Castle gone, it is now every man for himself, and zero help from the top of the ticket.
I am sure that many non-DE conservatives are thrilled that Castle is gone. Our local GOP candidates, however, are now in serious jeopardy.
Given the new trouble Murkowski is now causing in Alaska, having a safe GOP pick up in DE might also have been nice.
I am sure many on this site bitterly disagree with me, but I would rather have a GOP senator with a 99 percent of being elected who agrees with me 60 percent of the time than taking a chance on a long-shot who agrees with me 100 percent of the time. If Coons is elected, as is now likely, we’ll be saddled with another RAT who agrees with us zero percent of the time.
I hope I am proven wrong on November 2.
I just donated it is up
