With such a pithy analogy, I have to say I'm shocked that Democrats are perceived as being out of touch with the common man.

I wonder if the geniuses at Atlantic are aware that Sarah is not running for anything? Maybe they should run against Bush? What is it with progressive thinkers that they are unable to run on what they believe? They just seem totally tied to being against “someone”. Really deep thinking - really progressive. Its like the cheerleaders in high school deciding who is cool and who is not. They must be from NY.

So this brilliant WH thinks that running against a FOX News Channel pundit is a surefire winner?
I can’t figure out why they’re so threatened by her. She sold the governor’s jet and sent rebates to Alaskan citizens. She seems to be honest and is certainly fearless. What is their problem? How can they legitimize their egregious behavior?
1) Palin was never primarily about social issues.
2) They never have stopped trying to make her an issue and she hasn’t exactly been hiding.
3) The nation knows Christine O’Donnell is not the only “Tea Party” candidate. There are several. All colorful in their own way so good luck trying to distract people from the others. LOL
4) The underestimate how committed we are to winning. I’m no more interested in fighting a battle over Palin then I was GWB when they tried that a year ago. The distraction won’t work. And if not important to us, the crazy net roots won’t be motivated. They only would be energized if we really were interested in preserving one individual.

Why can’t they say how they feel. We live in a country of FREE Speech.
Most of them are backstabbing cowards....to scared to express their convictions in public.
And all the pundits have been laughing at Palin.
This proves the point of how scared they are of her. And her power to influence.
I find it more intriguing they consider not blowing your whole budget is a failure somehow.
The Democrats cannot make the election about policy because the people are horrified by what the democrats have done to the country.
So, all they can do is demonize the opposition in personal ways.
Shows how pathetc and negative they are.
Dudes, the American electorate is sick of you. But, you go right on missing the point or glossing it over or telling yourselves that attacking Palin is the right strategy. You clueless snobs.
That is a really excellent observation.
The great thing about the Tea Party is that it is still spontaneous and leaderless. The Democrats have failed to pigeonhole it and effectively attack it because there is no focal point.

The guy is an complete idiot. Hasn’t he been paying attention? Christine O’Donnell is no different than any of the other Tea Party candidates. Among the likes of Sharon Angle, Joe Miller, Marco Rubio, and Pat Toomey, nothing about O’Donnell’s views would stand out.
The narrative that the previous Tea Party candidates were somewhat “mainstream” but now with O’Donnell the Tea Party have really gone “extreme” is completely detached from reality.
