This has all be so very destructive of the Republican Party! Mr. Rove went off the deep end and destroyed many years of favorable opinion from voters that actually care.
He seems to think that he can somewhat backtrack and regain voters - hell, peoples respect, he is so delusional! He has not only ruined his reputation but will forever be looked at as just another establishment Republican Party pusher. I don’t give a hoot whether he thinks of himself as establishment, he is, was, and always be an establishment Republican policy wonk. That use to be at least a reasonable thing...no more!
He along with the Delaware Republican Party hacks have set back Republican ideas a decade at least. Thankfully, this may not resonate as badly as it normally would with the power of today’s Tea Party. To even think that he has a chance of regaining leadership for the Republicans is just a fairy tale... Go home Rove... You have outed yourself!

As far as I can tell, the only part of the Republican Party that's being hurt is the part we need to get rid of anyway. The part trying to turn it into Democrat-lite.

Krauthammer voted for Mondale over Reagan, and predicted Obama would be a centrist (the latter pointed out by Rush this week).
