It's ironic that the press totally demonized Dan Quayle for misspelling a word, and didn't say a thing about obama's "57 states", or any of his other gaffes.
Quayle let them put him in a box, but he is actually a pretty smart guy.
Then came biden....

There wasn't an internet to expose the press. There's at least one occasion that they flat out lied about his wife.
