If the presidential election were today and Sarah Palin somehow topped the Republican ticket, and even if she were joined in the race by an orangutan named Bob, and they were facing Barack Hussein Obama and Joe Biden -- or an idiot to be named later -- I would be forced to vote for her. Yeah, that's right. Vote -- for her. Sarah Palin. And Bob.
Embracing that reality makes me want to shower, and it is an acknowledgment that our political system has imploded. I'm the proud owner of a "Hater" T-shirt, for crying out loud, but the future is increasingly clear. If this nation is subjected to another four years of Obama's lunacy, it likely is finished, kaput, toasted.
How could you? some will ask. She's nuts and you are mean to her, they'll say. I'm not arguing with any of that. OK, so the lovely Sarah P. occasionally gets flabbergasted and speaks in tongues and jibberjabbers on Facebook and even makes up words such as "refudiated" or "misunderestimate"; how much damage can she possibly do in the White House? There would be people to watch her and keep the witch doctors away, and nobody in his right mind would even think of giving her the red-button thingy. She could do the State of the State on Twitter -- "Wow! Doing great, America. Pls rejoice. Hey, can see Wal-Mart from here." -- and save lots of valuable TV time.
She could issue long, convoluted missives about momma grizzlies and papa grizzlies and baby grizzlies through a phalanx of spokesboobs. It would be like when she was governor. It came to me during an epiphany triggered by a bag of jelly doughnuts that the lovely Sarah P. might be ''The One.''

Please put me out of my misery.
The ruling class is seeing its leader suck wind....
That may have been one of the speeches at the Netroot convention in Las Vegas this weekend.
Didn’t I hear Al Franken read those same words from his (BORING) speech tonight?
Or, maybe, they are all beginning to sound the same...
Typical liberal media elite. First, he’s jealous of her selling more books than he sell’s papers. Second, he says “she’s got star power and has captured America’s imagination”. Every insult he throws at her he throws at America.
Even worse; it probably votes.
We need to start hosting goofy events, like concerts out in the woods or something, on election day. Something to get morons like that to forget about voting.
I thought it sounded a lot like the one and only Keith Olberman editorial I ever heard.
I’m all for offering free pot and pizza ever few years - it will cost less then any Democrat.
I was thinking more along the lines of roofies and spoiled tofu. Something to keep them from getting to the polls at all.
You know that is a good idea. We’ll have to add spoiled Wagu-Beef to the menu.
the author just lied. He probably think, oh its okay to slip a little lie in there and say Palin invented “misundestimated”
Pricey! But if it works...
I think he scraped that off the Daily Kos, the liberal fictionary.
Being an once-subscriber to ADN, I got a cold call telling me I was selected to receive a free subscription. I turned 'em down. The boiler room op was shocked and reassured me the subscription was free. I explained I so despised ADN's liberal slant that I would not let them use me to increase their subscription numbers, even if the paper was free.
“...and USA Today doesn’t even make a decent pie chart.”
LOL!
Can’t fool em all. All the time.
I saw that one. Apparently, the poster actually believes that only Democrats go to college. And he or she types like a texting-addict.
How could such a twisted hater ever be a happy person, no matter who was the President. He is obviously contemptuous of many many other Americans.
Rather amazing that he spends the entire article disparaging Palin yet comes to the conclusion that Obama would be even worse.
Here’s a question to help me clear something up. When Palin resigned she cited the lawsuits and the expense of fighting them as her primary reason. She then published, went speaking and made oodles of money. Articles keep portraying her as a millionaire. To me,the important distinction is,was she wealthy when she left office or is it a more recent phenomenon?
I think its an important distinction. Calling her a millionaire will lead many to believe she was always a millionaire which we know isn’t true. It would be nice to clarify that with she wasn’t wealthy till after she left office unlike so many politicians that mysteriously become rich while in public service.
...stories about Obama make it increasingly clear that he gives even Chicago politics a bad name, that he is a hopeless liar. David Keene, chairman of the American Conservative Union, writing in "The Hill," reports that during the health-care debacle, Obama shamelessly lied about anything and everything. His spokesgoons were vicious in attacking anybody questioning what he was saying. The charges of failure to do right -- dismissed as partisan attacks aimed at scaring people -- have proved true, and revelations are surfacing daily. It turns out Obama lied about everything from radically expanding IRS powers to targeting small-business owners who were promised the law would benefit them.
