I’m not sure it differs much from reflexive support.

From the comments:

The circular firing squad

There are those for whom ideological purity trumps all other considerations. That a candidate won't win a particular election while being "pure" seems a worthwhile sacrifice - never mind that you will have no significant influence on your opponent, once they're in office.

Perhaps Palin recognizes that reality and endorses candidates accordingly? If so, good for her. Keep people on their toes so they have to be diligent and not become complacent or take her endorsement for granted.

and this:

Sarah's resilience to ankle snappers is high on the list of character assets I like about her. GWB never gave the press mob, nor the purists of conservative flame, nor the microbe brained cheapies of MSNBC so much as a passing scowl. Like the tadpole trolls here at townhall, Sarah & GWB both know that they would only feel fulfilled with attention. Screw them.

and this:

A Classic All-American Girl

success story. No wonder they hate her! And, speaking of self-made success stories of Female Republican persuasion..How about that Meg and Carly!!

Poor twits...Hillary Coattails & Nuthin'Else Clinton...Don't-Call-Me-Mam Boxer...Red Maxine Watters...Whew..! No wonder they're burning with jealousy and rage in Demoland.

Let's recheck His Infantile Majesty's resume, shall we? Any evidence he had as much leadership experience as a night shift as't mgr. in a Circle-K Mini Mart? NOPE. NEIN. NADA. NUTHIN. NYET.

True. Both reflexive support and reflexive criticsm are of course not good.

But when you have somebody like Palin doing most things right and taking it to Obama on a daily basis, I think there is a lot more reflexive criticism on display here than there is reflexive support.

Since Palin is clearly a RINO in your eyes:

Who is the ideal conservative out there? Who is your ideal candidate? Who do you support as carrying the Conservative torch?
