It's the ol' divide and conquer game. They keep doing it because it works and keeps the statists in charge.
The fusionism approach advocated by Buckley and Reagan united fiscal and social conservatives and gave us a conservative governing majority once upon a time. Now it's all about "purity" whatever that is, at least around here. This guarantees a permanent minority and helps who? The statists currently in charge of the GOP, that's who. Think about it.
Sarah Palin is at least attempting to cobble the conservative majority back together. Nobody else in the GOP has the balls to do it. She's endorsing the most conservative candidate who she thinks can win in some cases, even when it brings down a storm of criticism from the purity crowd -- a crowd that conveniently forgets that Bill Buckley himself long advocated this approach. Heck, she's even reaching out to sane libertarians.
Long live purity. Go Hunter, Baldwin et al. LOL. Gotta get me a Chuck Baldwin tag line. /s

Don’t they know it just research for Sarah’s up coming book. Why read speech and such when you can meet the person who gave the speech.
There’s something about Gov Palin that sets off a primal hate in queers (both Liberal AND Conservative)
There is something much deeper to it. She speaks for people in middle America who have been shunned by the media and political establishment in this country.
Who else does ? I don’t see anyone else fighting like she is.
The hatred of Sarah Palin by some conservatives is upsetting. Why ? Because I don’t think it is genuine or productive. These are low lifes.
What is very revealing is that among the group of Palin haters are those who believe she is a RINO. And THEN on the other side you have those who think she in not electable because she is TOO CONSERVERATIVE. And these two forces JOIN in the attack and ping eachother. THAT is what tells the story. They are not genuine at all.
Ouch, that will leave a mark on the blind worshipers.
I think it’s keeping in mind the first objective: crushing the power of the Democrat Party. It must be utterly destroyed in 2010. Once that objective is achieved, there are further objectives to pursue (something I suspect the “Class of ‘94” forgot).
First win a decisive victory in 2010. Then get ready for a violent temper tantrum from the Left. Do not even try to make nice with the rabid left, it only enboldens them. Use their temper tantrum to deliver the final blow in 2012. At the same time hold the rest of the Republican Party’s feet to the fire.

I personally like the woman and would happily vote for her over any of the idiots names being floated at this point. (Huckabee, Romney, Gingrich) I don’t agree with her on every issue but if I did I would question my own self honesty.
The election is a long way off and she may not even run or someone I like better might come along.
Sorry, then, I took your posts to be anti-Palin. I’m just wondering what many here would consider a suitable candidate if Palin is a RINO...
I have tried finding that out myself.
Sometimes responses are deep and require clarification for those who are unsure of meaning.
Many of us are tired of the PDS grenade lobbers so that person was ready to respond if you were one.
