Do you think Americans have a God given right to a job?
No, but I bet a lot of the votes in California aren’t going to be pleased with that quote when it is inevitably ceaselessly-replayed on television and radio by Boxer after Fiorina wins the nomination.
It was impolitic and the tone of voice she used was arrogant and dismissive. The point is, while technically one should have marketable skills and be known as a hard worker and the employer should be able to balance its profits with the need to hire the best workers they can for as cheaply as they can, there is a need also for country loyal companies! Fiorina is a globalist and in a recession her words of disdain for the American worker will come back to haunt her!
In addition to the outsourcing issues, her words were spoken at the time when H1B’s were being requested by the bushel full because they could be hired cheaply over Americans. Indeed it was claimed there weren’t enough qualified Americans to do the specialized work though it was really all about not hiring Americans who weren’t willing to fill the high tech positions at 30k per year.
Fiorina may be potentially the best of the lot but she is going to have to overcome the animus of all those former hp and compaq techworkers laid off by her!
