Sarah’s like Reagan. She’s very smart but doesn’t broadcast it, knowing there’s an advantage to being underestimated by your opponents.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Its an oh so not subtle swipe at conservatives.
“Best thing Sarah Palin did was quiting as governor!”
When the history of the Palin Era is written, sometime after she serves her last term as President, her resignation as governor will be considered beyond cavil to have been a master stroke, a political flanking maneuver that left her opponents flummoxed and in the dust.
Or the gay Scot - Phil McCavety
Right. Why anyone assumes that Sarah is an ‘intellectual lightweight’ is beyond me. Unless they’re just mimicking the libs and watching too much Tina Fey.
Good ol reliable GOP..yeah they are in such GREAT shape as it is right..that is why we have to bail their asses out in November..because without Sarah Palin, they were already in such great shape. I tell ya what, you know who isn’t embarrassed by Sarah’s endorsement, Nikki Haley, who since her endorsement, skyrocketed in the polls..yeah Nikki is taking that “embarrassment” all the way to VICTORY!! Stupid establishment GOP..same crap year new
“the establishment is too wrapped up in the whole we know best crap.”
Thanks for your on the mark comment. When I get calls from the RNC or any like organization of party elites, they get an earful from me about them being out of touch with reality. And that is all they get from me. Of course they don’t like it worth a crap when I tell them I’m doing an “end around” them and only donating time and money to a candidate directly: one candidate at a time. Most of the time the solicitor will reluctantly admit to receiving many similar responses.
Oh, by the way. Let’s pass over your contempt for Governor Palin. I’m not a really, really smart GOP political consultant like you. I would have thought, however, that normally in that job, implying in writing, in your own name, that Republican voters at large are gullible fools (which you in essence just did) would be considered a career-limiting move. Especially when you’re supposed to be trying to get the ones in California to vote for your client.
Keep reading at the link. He’s not working Carly’s account and his partner took him to the woodshed, but I had to excerpt.
Compared to whom? The Zero in the Oval Office at present? Can you tell me his K-12, college and law school grades? Of course you can't, that's a state secret! Senator John Kerry, who's grades were lower than President George W. Bush's at Yale? Vice President Al Gore, who flunked out of seminary? President Lyndon Johnson, who went to a fourth-rate teacher's college? President Harding, who attended a traditionally black college founded to educate former slaves? I can go on and on...
Fair enough. That still strikes me as something that belongs in a Southwest Airlines commercial:
“Wanna get away?”
What kind of dolt disparages someone who endorses his client, especially someone as high-profile and important as Governor Sarah Palin. This guy is a consultant and county supervisor? I grew up in California (Chino, in San Bernadino county) but I’m not at all familiar with the county in the article. Is it rural or majority Hispanic, I wonder?

I am sure you could. I am not flacking for Obama. He is cunning and shrewd, with the quick witted thuggery of a Chicago street punk,
Again, it is not hating to say Sarah is not as articulate as I would like her to be. Maggie Thatcher was the same way early in her career. She got her clock cleaned in some early debates, got herself a tutor, read classic liberalism stuff by von Mises, Bastiaat, Antonio Martino, Hayek and Stigler. She is now regarded as a well read, articulate spokesperson for conservatism. No reason Sarah cannot be the same thing in the future. She ain't now, though. Golly gee whiz, but I am sorry, she is not.
Up near Sacramento. Davis (as in UC Davis) is in Yolo. Big agricultural area.
With strategists like this, it’s no wonder why the GOP gets outwitted and outsmarted all the time. What a dope.
Fire his ass now.
Rexroad gets his ass handed to him by his partner:
From C4P:
UPDATE: John Peschong, one of the Meridian Pacific consultants working for Fiorina, gives me this comment:
Matt Rexroad is my business partner, but when it comes to Sarah Palin he has no idea what he is talking about and is wrong in his assessment of her and the value she brings to campaigns. I have known Sarah Palin and her family for years in my roles as the Republican National Committees Western States Political Director and as Western States Campaign Manager for McCain-Palin and have the highest regard for her. She is a true conservative and great Republican leader who cares deeply about the direction our country is headed. Matt is not in any way involved in Carly Fiorinas campaign, and even if he was, it is clear that his advice would have gone completely ignored. Carly is honored to have Governor Palins endorsement and we look forward to continuing to make sure Republican voters know who she is supporting in this election
