“And along come GOP membes galore, who can’t seem to find it within their soul to stand with me and in a roar of 41 or 178 unified voices shout “HELL NO!” every time the libs come around to bash my head in.”

There you go again. Actually, the GOP has done that so well, saying ‘no’ and opposing Obama’s socialism, that Obama is calling them the Party of No.

“It’s not like we’re facing anything that’s hard to understand, or is difficult to determine which side we should be on.”

There you go again. Saying its easy, having not been in the arena. IF IT WAS EASY, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE BY NOW.

“I mean, I understand Democrats wanting socialism and unemployment and misery all around.”

You give the enemy a pass for being 100% against you, while bashing those who are 90% FOR you for their 10% variations? That makes no sense. I DONT understand why anyone is a liberal, but I DO understand that those who are liberals are the ones pushing the worst ideas on America, by far.

Here’s the deal... politicians have to deal with many constituencies.

“What I don’t understand is when in response to the blowout in the Gulf, you immedately find a bunch of GOP members racing to be greenie idiots. Huh? ... This is utter betrayal of the nation.”

Huh, indeed, Democrats are okay but Repubs are not?

“When “immigration reform” shows up, you can count McDumb and Gramdumber ....”
- I guess you missed the memo. McCain is close to losing his primary over that issue, and Bob Bennett already did. And AZ Republicans passed a tough immigration bill... I mean, I dont want to step on your fine rant, but you are bound and determined to throw all the GOP babies out with the RINO bathwater.

It’s frankly waaaay to ‘2006’ for some of us. You would do well to get with the program and get up to speed on the reformation that has happened already and is happening in the Republican party.

“And you say “go campaign”? The only place that would help is to campaign or try to influence people on the other end of the state. I can’t go there. “

So? you can make calls. you can make a difference in primaries and local races. you can influence state-level races.

“How is it that this stuff is “tempting”??? So that “fallible” people fall for it? I can’t imagine. It’s my last time in this life, this is MY last chance to be anything but destitute when the rest of my very thin hair turns gray, I’ve lost it all twice before.”

Duh - IT’S SIMPLE - Politicians do what gets SUPPORTED... as long as conservatives like you demand the kind of perfection that nobody can live up to, they dont even bother and work on other constituencies ... meaning the moderate limp-noodle voters and/or liberals.

THAT”S why they dont respond to you, because you DONT HELP THE GOOD CONSERVATIVES WHO DO THE RIGHT THING! Well, at least other conservatives HAVE woken up and are doing the right thing.

You can lead, you can follow the lead of others (go here
Http://redstate.com for how its being done now) ... or you can get out of the way while the conservative reformers clean up the GOP and set us up for conservative victory in 2010.

In future, I’d advise you quit with the broad brush complaints and focus more on constructive criticism of specific individuals dong specific things The party is made of all of those who help make the GOP what it is, voters and officeholders. We cant all agree as we are millions strong. But most core principles are shared.

You said: Duh - IT’S SIMPLE - Politicians do what gets SUPPORTED... as long as conservatives like you demand the kind of perfection that nobody can live up to, they dont even bother and work on other constituencies ... meaning the moderate limp-noodle voters and/or liberals.

You just invalidated everything you said. No, they have no principles, they're just pandering. Got it. That's what I've said all along, they're just aimlessly wandering, no idea what they should do. As in, THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY CORE PRINCIPLES. If they did, whiny libs would have no effect on them. Each day I face the barren wastes, with barely a buck in the bank... And it is NEVER EVEN SLIGHTLY difficult to determine whether Obamacare, Cap and Tax, Bailouts, New entitlements, etc are what I need in my future. Seriously, I am not ever the slightest bit tempted to support "tax raises". And cannot for the life of me figure out how anyone else is, either, unless they're a typical brain-dead liberal... Or just plain stupid. But you have to fight like heck to keep the GOP from defecting in large numbers to such things. Why? Have these people NO COMPREHENSION AT ALL??? And you said this: There you go again. Saying its easy, having not been in the arena. IF IT WAS EASY, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE BY NOW. in response to “It’s not like we’re facing anything that’s hard to understand, or is difficult to determine which side we should be on.”

Um... bucko... It really IS "that easy". All one has to do is take a 60 second look at the books... 13 trillion in debt, high unemployment, businesses still failing, extreme level of government confiscation and spending of GDP. Ok, that's all you need to know. That, in itself, paints the clearest, most unimaginably stark and brilliantly illuminated picture you could EVER paint, to explain what should and should NOT be done. And yet, we can't seem to generate enough influence to say Democrats into the right thing, because the GOP is all wobbly. The fact that Obama has referred at times to the GOP as "the party of no", means the GOP is FAR FAR FAR too wobbly and squishy. If they had a faint backbone, he'd be referring to them as the "Nuclear bomb proof, hellfire and brimstone and depleted uranium armed fortress of "Hell no, we're not and we're coming to blast you into oblivion" party, then I'd start getting interested. And I'd still be arguing for them to grow a spine. It IS just that clear. It is Just that simple. It is, just that correct and true. Again, I ask, just WHERE is McConnell? Where is Steele? Where's Boehner? Their milquetoast gibberish on TV is so pathetic it literally wants to make me hurl. Why? Because if they said anything true or meaningful, like "constitutional boundaries of government" or "the only job of the federal government is to protect the liberties of the individual" they would all get laughed out of town, since not a one of them has a record of voting that way. The OTHER guys vote the way they speak. But not the GOP. It pussyfoots around what it's supposed to stand for, doesn't vote it at all, and rarely takes even a milquetoast level of determination.
