Faso is not running, endorses Gibson. Tedisco is out.

Ziegler and Stec look like minor candidates to me:

is there a New Yorker campaign ping list?
In New York 19 (Hall in Westchester area, north of NYC):
DeChiaro to primary Hayworth

NY20
STEC has put himself in the middle of an incident up here and painted himself as an arrogant a**. Thankfully there are other, better candidates. There are multiple letters to the editor at the local paper from people (regardless of party) vowing to see him ‘not’ get elected to NY20.

Appreciate any thoughts from others on his idea re DHS?

i finally got a response. I am glad to see all the new candidates ... it will keep the pressure on some of the DEMS regarding their healthcare vote. Gibson jumping in and Hoffman staying in the race have to be a reminder on Murphy and Owens. Is Hall a lost cause on PelosiCare.
Kate gives away her location by referring to Warren County as up here. I always figure it is up there.
Saratoga County actually, but just over the border from Warren :)
Murphy is hedging on HCare vote.. bet he caves. Color him DUN. Told his office, he reports to us not Obama/Pelosi, and we will remember this election..
GOP really made a mess of NY20. Seems everyone was blocked from running due to the assumption that Tedisco would be the nominee again ... and he waited forever to be clear that he was out.
Redistricting is an opportunity for GOP because so many DEM incumbents will have new district lines in ‘12. Murphy & Owens will have new lines in ‘12 even if they are re-elected in ‘10. GOP should think of this as an opportunity.
“Murphy is hedging on HCare vote..”
Keep calling him, and even visit his office, if you can. One vote can make the difference. It’s gonna be close.
Click some of the key words in this thread, like NY.
I’m concerned about our chances in NY-13. Given how pathetic the local party has been acting there it’s possible McMahon may settle in for a long stay.
Candidate A Michael Allegretti is a former Gloomberg aide and advised Tony Blair too.
That doesn’t mean he’s RINO scum for sure but it’s a good indicator.
Candidate B is former FBI Agent Mike Grimm who is Molinari approved.
In all fairness, none of that was Stec’s fault. However, at first glance, Gibson is looking good to me. Ziegler touts himself as a Teddy Roosevelt Republican and seems to be making education an issue. I don’t think Gibson has a website yet, but we got a great mailer from him today.
i gave the wrong link for DeChiaro in 19 (Westchester, north of NYC). If this is the direction conservatives wanna go, they better be sure. If we are trashing Hayworth, better be sure we got the better choice.

YORKTOWN , NEW YORK In the wake of the stunning Massachusetts Senate election that pundits are now referring to as the Boston Tea Party, prospects for Republicans in the Northeast continued to rise with the news that wealthy businessman Thomas DeChiaro has announced the formation a U.S. Congressional Exploratory Committee for the 19th District in New York.
The blue collar families of the Hudson Valley are alarmed by the ever expanding size of government and their rising tax bills, DeChiaro said. Our country is in jeopardy of losing our leadership position in the global economy. We are truly at a tipping point, and we must not be complacent anymore. I am considering running for Congress because it is time for the Hudson Valley to elect leaders who will govern with integrity.
A possible DeChiaro candidacy would give Hudson Valley Republicans their first well-financed candidate with high name recognition throughout the district, who also has broad appeal to the independent voters who makeup a majority of the district.
We are slowly losing the rights and privileges our forefathers died for, DeChiaro said. We need innovative thinkers, business men and problem solvers.
DeChiaro, a 47 year old self-made millionaire from Mahopac, is currently the President and CEO of the Winery at St. George in New York s Westchester County.

what county are you in ? ... what was mailer about?
Posted both candidates on my facebook.
I’m in Warren County.
Isn’t Hayworth 100% pro-abortion? How could this guy be worse? With Ball out and no first-tier candidates running, I’ll take the multi-millionaire over the RINO in that district (which people forget gave President Bush 54% in 2004).
