Thank you for posting that. I can’t stand McCain either but I’m not going to question his military service in any way. Capt. Sully successfully crash landed a commercial plane one time saving many lives and he’s (deservedly) a hero. McCain survived a hellova war.
Why should I have any less credibility as a mere civilian?
“I’m not a McCain fan at all, but let me ask you and all the other smarmy McCain haters just one question:
How many times have you gone in harm’s way while defending the United States of America?”
Amen to that..
Let's see, I was on the first aircraft carrier (USS America) back into the Persian Gulf just after cessation of hostilities with Iraq, churned up the Adriatic Sea during the whole Bosnian conflict and rushed to the Indian Ocean and sat off the coast of Somalia for a spell.
While, I never was "shot at" the possibility for me to have harm come to me was always there seeing as I was serving aboard a combat vessel.
I guess I should say that I worked on the flight deck of said carrier at night.
So yes, I will hate on Juan McLame thank you.
Oh, once or twice.
Why not ask how many of us tried to aid invaders of our country?
Let me ask you two questions:
1. Does military service make one immune from political criticism forever?
2. Why do you ASSUME that people who are critical of McCain, HATE him? You sound like a stupid biased liberal when you say crap like that.
“How many times have you gone in harm’s way while defending the United States of America?”
McCain’s service record isn’t very distinguished, except for his time as a POW and that is somewhat murky.
The problems with McCain are with his actions while in office. His treatment of families concerned about their loved ones, missing in Vietnam, also reveal what a small spiteful man he really is.
I also believe that his actions concerning the “finical crisis” during the campaign indicate that he is not capable of effectively dealing with issues of national interest.
Well said!
More times than McCain did, but I didn’t run for President, and I don’t think I’m God’s gift to the US Senate. Just what the hell is your point?

Benedict Arnold was a legitimate war hero once.
