I would vote for “undistinguished” J.D. before I’d vote for “idiotic turncoat” McCain.
Dick Armey.........this is why you don’t worship politicians, FReepers!!!!
RE :”Armey stopped short of outright endorsing McCain over Hayworth..” (from article)
I would really be discouraged if he did that.
Unlike John McCain who chooses to distinguish himself by screwing conservatives at every opportunity.
Dick Armey? Where do I know that name? Oh yeah he is supposed to be a Tea Party leader.
Shut up Dick!
If Hayworth was so unimpressive, why do so many FReepers remember the man? God bless Hayworth. Any friend of Dana Rohrabacher is a FRiend of mine.

Nobody should light a match when Armey speaks, either. His 100 proof breath would likely start a wildfire.....

Mark my words:
Hayworth will lose the GOP primary against McCain but will still run in the General Election as an independent in order to elect a Democrat to the seat.
you got that backwards. mccain will lose in the primary and run in the GE as an independant to get a democrat elected.
It’s crap like this that caused Armey’s RINO son to NOT win his old man’s seat in Congress from Dallas.
A number of years ago, those of us who supported the National Retail Sales Tax (the original NRST as moved to the public arena by the old CATS organization and is now called the Fair Tax), sponsored a series of debates in several cities around the nation. One was held in Atlanta at the Cobb Civic Center. Speaking for the NRST was then-Rep. Billy Tauzin, against — and for HIS flat-rate INCOME TAX — was Dick Armey.
Billy tore Armey to shreds during the debate portion of the program and when the Q&A began, the line at the microphone formed quickly and Armey was peppered with a number of questions, most of which related to his desire to retain a Marxist tax on incomes (which he had trouble answering).
I was in the back of the large crowded room when one particularly pointed question was posed to Armey. Next to me were Armey’s young aide who had accompanied him to Atlanta and a guy who was clearly an Armey supporter. As the questioner concluded his question, the Armey supporter leaned over and remarked to Armey’s aide that “That was a pretty stupid question.” The aide turned to the guy and replied “If it was such a stupid question, WHY ARE WE GETTING OUR ASS KICKED?”
As I recall, Armey withdrew from the final debates.
As I listened to her on Larry Cadaver King, I kept thinking about something about which Boortz frequently reminds his male audience: At some point, youll have to try to have a conversation with her. I also kept thinking that she HAS to be from California until I remembered that Arizona also has valleys.

The GOP/RNC don’t remember conservatives with a 97.5 rating ;-)
