[Governor] Palin brings common sense to politics
The Evansville Courier & Press ^ | December 31, 2009 | Joe Barron

Posted on 12/30/2009 11:17:21 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

In response to national and local liberals who continually bash former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, I, as a conservative along with millions of conservatives across the country, would like to set the record straight.

Palin has more common sense solutions regarding the problems facing our country than the entire administration of President Barack Obama.

An example: Palin understands that the health care system needs to be fixed, but also understands as do most people that the Nancy Pelosi-Harry Reid 2,000-pages of smoke and mirrors is not the answer.

Common sense says you don't destroy the system to fix it.

Palin is all for green energy solutions, but understands that until those solutions are found in the next 10, 20 or 30 years, we need to use the abundant oil, gas and coal reserves that we have in the ground and oceans surrounding the United States.

The liberal solution includes Environmental Protection Agency mandates or cap and tax programs. That is, until the economy comes to a standstill.

Another knock on Palin is she lacks foreign policy experience. Barack Obama's 151 days in the Senate does not qualify as foreign policy expertise.

Palin loves and is proud of our country and would not go around the world apologizing and denigrating the United States to make herself look good to people in countries that don't like the United States anyway.

Palin's common sense approach to problem solving is just what this country needs.

We can see what direction the liberal politicians are taking our country: Government takeover of the banking, automotive and health care industries.

They would give full constitutional rights to the confessed mastermind of the 9-11 attacks while putting New York City in danger of another terrorist attack.

Palin may not be Harvard educated, but I prefer her common sense and proven solutions to problems over those proposed by the Obama Administration.

What real proof do we have that Mr. Obama is Harvard educated?

Palin may not be Harvard educated, but I prefer her common sense and proven solutions to problems over those proposed by the Obama Administration.

William F. Buckley once said: "I would rather be governed by the first two thousand people in the Boston telephone directory than by the two thousand people on the faculty of Harvard University". The people from Harvard think that they know everything. Everybody else is more realistic about their own limitations. If Obama graduated from Harvard, then my respect for that institution is severely diminished.

She's never mentioned any such path that I know of. Do you know differently? If so, what do you know? If not, why are you making things up out of hot air? What's your agenda? Who do you work for? Is floating rumors your "path" to success as a troll?

Please guys, tell me your kidding that you had never heard of Sarah’s Univision Interview.

If you don’t know what will come up against her you cant help her .

I support her but she will have define what her path is. She is not for Amnesty. But mentioned a path.

I will post this we can see what the path is.

Interview with Sarah Palin
Univision Oct 26,2008

Q: Do you then favor an amnesty for the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?

No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They’ve got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.

Q: To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?

I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

“What’s yours? You people seem to think you’ve all the answers, this should to be an easy one to answer.”

Your unaware that she made reference to being for a path to Citizenship for illegals.

No Amnesty , but some path.

You can’t help her face what the Dems will be coming at her with.

I’m aware of all that she has stated in regard to United States immigration, legal and illegal. And I agree with her 100%.

There is no path, there’s a reason they’re called “illegal,” which she said recently in a radio interview.

amazing. you use an interview from a presidential campaign in which she was the VP canidate running with a pro amensty president. yet for some reason you do not include her interview last month in which she states:

We must close the border, illegal aliens are called illegal for a reason, we must crack down on illegal aliens in this country.

hmmm one interview during which she had to toe the line. another when she did not. Which one do you believe.

Frankly any position she took during the 2008 campaign to me is suspect and smacks of the McCain camp and should not be considered worthy of posting or comment.

The David Frums, Mike Murphys, Steve Schmidts and Kevin Maddens are the scourge of the Republican Party. All would be just as happy as Democrats and need to be sent packing.
