So What Does Harrisburg Know About Sex?
BillLawrenceOnline.Com ^ | 12/15/09

KYW1060.com, yesterday, reported that state lawmakers were mulling mandatory sex education in public schools. While the story didn't mention a bill number, HB 1163 was the only one found in search for "sex education" at the website for the Pennsylvania General Assembly.

Granted we might think our elected our experts on the matter of sex due to their amazing skill at finding imaginative ways of, well, giving it to us taxpayers, but one is puzzled at why they think it best to place a new mandate on public schools.

Oh yeah, I forgot, silly me. They are good at finding imaginative ways etc.

Mandatory???? Huh? When did the state have the right to impose this on children against the wishes of their parents?

I hear jack boots marching in the distance.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

That’s what happens when your 21 year old and 17 year old daughters are fighting over a can of Pringles when you are trying to post.

It just doesn’t stop.

If I’m lucky, their college breaks won’t coincide very often.

As usual, Harrisburg is focused on sex in schools while big and ostensibly good homeschool educated girls, sans public sex ed, and who therefore should know better, are getting off scot-free while they fight like cats over Pringles. Wait! One of them is only 17? We’ll send Child Protective Services right over! :-)

I dare CPS to try anything with the 17 year old. She’s been practicing on her sister for 17 years. :)
