Those anticipating leadership and clarity from President Obama in last weeks address to Congress on health care reform were disappointed.
He could have shown us that he had at last started listening to what most Americans were telling him and the Congress to do, and outlined proposals to address the weaknesses of the current health care system, the one that provides the highest level of care in the world.
He could have endorsed several needed reforms, ones that Republicans support, which would change this Democrat crusade into a bi-partisan effort, changes like tort reform to lower malpractice and health insurance rates and the tendency of providers to prescribe procedures and tests that are needed only to protect them from predatory lawyers and their clients.

“Bipartisan”?? He does not know that word. It’s funny too... Bush alienated most Conservatives in his ongoing effort to achieve bipartisanship... and “O” probably can’t even spell the word.
However, I think we could fill the universe with what “O” can’t do!
The only way Obama wins this is with RINO cover. He does not have enough Democrats willing to commit Obamacide in 2010. Wonder which RINOS will ride to the rescue.??
Exactly. Obamarx cares not one wit about bi-partisanship. He is the radically left-wing person ever to occupy the office of POTUS. He speaks of being “post-partisan” but in action is a rabid-Marxist.
Only Conservatives attempt to actually deliver on the ‘bipartisan promise’ and in the process, hobble their own agenda...AND receive NO credit for their efforts.
“We need tort reform. There will be no more Affirmative Action in medical schools, and medical schools will have to admit more students based on merit. Reduce operating expenses and increase competition. Allow insurance companies to compete across state lines. Fund clinics through medical schools to train doctors and provide non emergency services in areas where indigent expenses are driving healthcare costs out the roof.” There, that’s my version of what Obama should say to get bipartisan support for healthcare reform. I know the liberals would never go for it, so it isn’t really bipartisan, and I don’t care. The only thing I know about the healthcare industry is that it is too expensive, and the government will only screw it up and make things worse. That is what government does best.
