Ben is wrong. The GOP has not been revived by Obama - conservatism has.
Thank you, I was just going to point out the same thing. As Rush said today, “You didn’t come out in droves like this when the Republicans were in power”. We were mad, yes, but it took an abject socialist like Obama to really light the fire.
But, this has to turn into a revival of the Republican party if we’re going to get anywhere in future elections. All a third party will do is splinter the vote and hand Obama a second term. I don’t like it but that’s how it is.
Winner!
“Ben is wrong. The GOP has not been revived by Obama - conservatism has.”
Dead on.
I won’t be voting for any more RINO’s ... PERIOD!
Hear, hear!
Stein misses on that important point, but otherwise a very good commentary.
I especially like the last paragraph:
Thank you, thank you, thank you. We thought we were down and out, and now you have given us a fresh start. You have, so to speak, let us hit the "reset" button on all of our messy recent history. You guys are so bush league, so to speak, you make us look like seasoned, sensible, prudent professionals. And it only took eight months. Thank you, President Obama, and we'll look for more. You truly are the gift that keeps on giving.
Yes, the GOP has committed suicide in my opinion. I will never again vote for someone just because they have a R behind their name and are running against a D. I am much more inclined to find the independent candidates and get to know them and even campaign for them before I blindly accept the R candidate. In fact I think we here in Mississippi need to get rid of our current R and elect dedicated conservatives.
