It's easier to build common sense conservative coalition from the party where most common sense conservatives now reside. It's easier to build a common sense conservative coalition from a party that has an existing apparatus and infer-structure. A third party doesn't work if you don't have the majority of support from the voters and if you do have a majority of support from the voters, then you don't need a third party. I believe to say otherwise, is an opinion based on inferiority; it's an opinion based on "we can't do it" and it's an opinion based the feeling that common sense conservatism can't be a selling point to the majority.

What party apparatus?? The McCain "apparatus" that has been attacking Palin since the election? The Massachusetts Romney "apparatus" that has been doing the same thing?

You're confusing candidate operatives working for Mitt and Huck with party apparatus, party infrastructure and the millions of conservative grassroots members that make up the existing party independent of those two hucksters.

Are you actually going to let Mitt's and Huck's backstabbing little operatives chase you away into irrelevancy?

Cute the way you conveniently "omitted" the McCain apparatus... Last time I checked McCain was the REPUBLICAN candidate... and a pathetic one at that.

Romney wants the nomination for 2012 so bad he can taste it. He lost the nomination in 2008 to MCCAIN!! Who controls the GOP? The so called APPARATUS you talk about is entrenched... What have they been trying to do to Sarah Palin since the landslide loss to a socialist community organizer hmmmm? They don't want her politics... They're terrified of her ideals and will do anything to stop her. They can't stop her if she is a TRUE MAVERICK... to use that pathetic McCain term.

The McCain crowd has more in common with the socialist RAT party. I have been a staunch Republican since Ronald Reagan... I have not been fond of any of the Bushes... I held my nose and voted GOP... DONATED GOP.... Never EVER again and believe me... I'm not alone.

1994 WAS our chance ... then the GOP, George Bush and John McCain/( Feingold<--- for effect) spent us right into a Marxist dismantling of our constitution by getting blown away. The GOP is not a minority party... it has become an insignificant blip in the U.S. Capital building and shrinking farther and.... farther. Why even Al Franken won... spender RINO Norm Coleman was swatted like a fly in Minnesota... They're mentioning Pawlenty or Crist as potential candidates!!
