What effort is there now to devalue Sarah Palin? My whole point is, the moderate and corporate wing of the party may be trying to say, "Uncle". If it was anybody but Sarah Palin I would say, not a chance. But in full recognition of Palin's political strength, she just might have enough to pull it off.

Is it a political gamble? Of course it is. But things have changed. She is now a heavy-hitter, not a political neophyte. She can afford to take a swing now. If she misses, she is strong enough to recover. But if she hits, she can have the whole ball of wax, re-orientating a major political party in the process.

The “devaluing” of Sarah Palin as a possible LEGITIMATE Republican nominee for President (that is ALL we are talking about here)can, will and already has come from a multitude of sources that even the “out-of-the” MSM considers worthy of face time on their shows, just for openers, say, Gingrich, Romney, Peggy Noonan, etc. etc.
There are a whole lot of more traditional Pubbies who have been standing in line for many years for their turn either as nominees, or kingmakers. I do believe many of them take Sarah Palin, AT THIS POINT, as a pretender to the throne, useful mainly as jazzy window-dressing to bring larger and more enthusiastic crowds to more conservative candidates for the upcoming mid-terms.These are the same ninnies who still harbor the conceit that her presence is what sunk McCain’s candidacy, rather than boosted it. This is easily as delusional as anything you hear from the Left, like the recent Iranian post-election uprising coming as a result of the masses being inspired by Obama’s Egypt speech.
(Sarah will do the necessary work for other candidates as part of her re-orientation for her OWN political future) I fully expect the Establishment RINOS wouldn’t be too terribly sad about sacrificing her, and then dumping her unceremoniously once her job was done. This is EXACTLY what McCain did, and I think she knows and appreciates that, and would NEVER let it happen again. Once again, as far as the idea of ‘devaluing’ her goes, it’s gonna take a lot of personal re-orientation from the likes of the Republican mainstays (not to mention the still-large numbers of RINOs) before they accept Sarah Palin as a legitimate nominee. It is a very bitter pill for them to swallow, but they may very well have to. In their heart of hearts they know that the way it stands now, she outpolls ALL of them, and could handily beat all of them if an election were held this summer.
