Why in the HELL is the RNC not all over this demographic with commercials like this. Hispanics/Mexicans, whomever are ardent conservatives and the RNC has not reached them. These ads run during Friday Night Fights on ESPN.
Large waves of southern immigration are changing our politics, and most Republicans believe the most effective way to reach them- which we know doesn't work- is to reward lawbreakers with citizenship and hope for the best. And please don't call us racists or we're gonna cry and roll over.
Look at these ads. Have you ever seen a Conservative tv message so well crafted; "with character"...honesty, hard work, be man enough to be respectful and polite, pro family and community.
Come on, these are the messages used to sell beer to this group.
You know who they want to vote for.
Viva La Raza e tambien Che!
That was sarcasm. Something that many people at FreeRepublic miss lately.
There are many many Hispanics in this country who are citizens who assimilated long ago. To group all Hispanics with the ones who are illegally here and who have no interest in assimilating is a slap in their faces. They are, in most cases, equally irritated with the laxity of our government to follow existing laws. Politicians drooling for votes value illegal aliens and activist organizations for their voter support and continued employment. They sympathize with us, but know what side of the law upon which their bread is buttered.
Count me in.
FR has grown too big and transient for inside humor imo. Might help to use /s.
You sarcastic bastard!
The Mexicans are coming! The Mexicans are coming! /s

“Tongue shaving”
Like Steve Martin in “Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid”?
;^)
You are correct. Sometimes with topics like this it's very hard not to use a broad brush. The 'persons of Hispanic decent (non white)' who are here legally and contribute to society will never have a legitimate voice until the mass of illegals are gone.
If conservative means that Mexicans can take over America.
Actually, the Black and Hispanic vote really helped pass Prop 8, the Marriage Amendment, here in California.
That is traditional, conservative.
I can not believe that Tecate beer would have spent all that money without doing some research to see what would appeal....
that myth was sold hard here during the immigration battles here a few years ago and a lot of good freepers were shown the door for disagreeing with said myth
some of us were invited back after the Rudy debacle to be fair
How does the marriage amendment vote translate into electing Republicans into office? Most people are not single issue voters. Blacks voted 95% for Obama and Hispanics close to 70%.
Interesting article on “diversity.” Unfortunately written by Harvard man intent on divising a statist cure for bringing in foreign workers to work for below-scale wages while native populations are without work in order to show how important “globalization” is — or maybe to make the global elite rich no matter their origins.
“When the data were adjusted for class, income and other factors, they showed that the more people of different races lived in the same community, the greater the loss of trust. “They don’t trust the local mayor, they don’t trust the local paper, they don’t trust other people and they don’t trust institutions,” said Prof Putnam. “The only thing there’s more of is protest marches and TV-watching.”

I stopped using the /s long ago. If people cannot recognize the sarcasm, why tell them?
The RNC has been focusing on more important things.
For example, at the GOP.com store, (https://secure.gop.com//store/Default.aspx) the RNC is now busy raising money that is so essential for advancing John McCain and what's-her-name to victory in November. Victor the Plush RNC Victory '08 Elephant can be yours for only $35!
Here's the blurb:
Show your support for John McCain and all our GOP candidates by proudly displaying the Republican National Committees newest member, Victor the Victory Elephant.
Victor is ready to hit the Convention floor to place his nomination vote for John McCain and rally Republicans to victory with his Convention Pennant. This wonderful plush toy is available for a limited-time only. Actual size 5" x 4
Victor should have been removed fom inventory on November 5, 2008, but he is still for sale almost eight months later.
