Yep, he was damn good. And by “campaign event”, i mean a New Mexico event. Backyard, with 30 blue collar guys, brats and enchiladas. It wasnt a big show for a crowd.
A real class act. And i know its kind of a local point. But if you are in NM, there is a fine multi-lane highway that goes from the southeast corner of the state, up to the northwest corner. Beautiful, fast, very safe.
Before that it was a one lane deathtrap, requiring endless passes. Gary Johnson built that for us. He did it ahead of schedule and under budget. He cut off the NM democrats at the knees with a budget trick, so they didnt get their kickbacks and contracts for their friends. They HATED him for that.
Bill Richardson needs a Jet to get around NM. Johnson used a bicycle.
He also had humility, he made a remark about low riders and drive by shootings that inflamed a lot of people. He said he just said what he had always believed. So he decided to go cruising with a low rider one friday night. Had a good time and mended some fences.
Of course, the low rider he rode with shot someone a few months later. (to the dems chagrin) I wish this country would take a chance on a guy like him who really loves our constitution, and just has an all around good attitude towards life.
Heres the best way to view him. When Rush challenged Obama to a public debate and Obama chickened out. Johnson would have gone, guaranteed.
