This Saturday there is another runoff election in Louisiana's fourth congressional district. Let's hope and pray we win this one as well. Saxby Chambliss's impressive win last Tuesday night renewed my vision for hope and change. Yes we can!
Hopefully Gov. Sarah Palin will campaign for the GOP candidate, John Fleming. Sarah rocks! Ask Saxby!
Is he running against William “Cold Cash” Jefferson?
It's amazing what the GOP can do when it doesn't have the anchor of McCain the elderly geeky Washington-inside appeaser to weigh them down.
Chambliss also wasn't fighting the massive 98% black vote .... because (draw your own conclusions)
If and when the conservative/Republican party gets a younger, energetic, ARTICULATE and virile candidates and NOT these worn-out elderly "it's my turn" DC-insiders ..... they will again excite and attract voters.
Dem-libs can gloat now... but the Dem landslide had more to do with mindless Obama support than it did with dissatisfaction over conservatism.
Oh, and there was a lot of Bush-hatred even among the GOP as people watched their life savings get cut in half.
Go Sarah!
No. William Jefferson is in the second district—inner city New Orleans. Jefferson’s district is a one-party cesspool. He could be caught with a dead boy in his bed and still get re-elected.
Besides, didn’t you know Republicans are held to a different set of standards? Case in point: GOP Congressman Mark Foley was caught making a few lewd comments to male congressional pages. He was forced to resign. Congressman Barney Frank’s lover, Steve Gobie, ran a male prostitution ring out of the congressman’s very own apartment. Frank is still there more powerful than ever. Another former Frank lover, Herb Moses, had a cushy executive level job at Fannie Mae, an organization Frank had oversight over as the Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee. Anyone besides me see any conflicts of interest here?
