This is not a bad idea, but in the literature I’ve seen so far, the focus is almost entirely on the “two I’s,” the internet and party infrastructure.
Again, that’s not bad, but the true problem the Republican party had in 2008 — and indeed as far back as 1996 — is that they have drifted away from the Conservative agenda. In fact, they shifted decisively since 2002, which is what cost them so dearly.
All the “plan’s” in the world to expand internet outreach, to rebuild and reform the party, are meaningless if those who make up the “grassroots” see no “repentance” and return to Conservative Principles. All this plan could conceivably be a collossal waste of time if Republicans nominate another McCain, or Bush, or Dole...
Just my $ .02.
There’s nothing in there about education of the young, of creating an Energy Mandate power base in some other place besides DC.
Nothing in there that addresses the fatal blow of the MSM in painting all of the varied “individualists” with one racist, obnoxious word, “STUPID”. Anyone calling themselves Pubbies will be seen as a drooling moron. Even here at FR one group is scared of being seen with another.
And no FREE programs in the community. Fuggeddaboudit.
GOP is dead....and 3rd parties were never alive. I fear it’s over....
Blogs won’t get it done. All politics is local. Start with the House of Representatives 2010.
