Romney would be in the lead now. He could have debated Nobama under the table. But my fellow Republicans wanted McCain. Now you’re going to get Nobama.

McCain’s not a bad debater or communicator. Palin on the other hand and I hate to say it, hasn’t done so great. . . A VP pick should be out there blasting the other side and competently presenting his running mate’s position. I think Pawlenty or perhaps Hutchison would have been better at doing that. . . I remember thinking what a bad pick Cheney was for Bush, uninspiring, boring. . . but he did everything a VP candidate needed to do and more. He really made a great case in the debate against Lieberman. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow night.

your fellow Republicans here

wanted Fred Thompson

or Hunter

or Huckabee

anyone, but McCain

ok....Guiliani was never on our list....so what?

Romney maybe, looking at it now, I would trade McCain for Romney. Romney/Palin? I don’t think Romney would have ever picked Palin....but who knows?

To poll doubters out there...

Yes, they are not exactly true, but the trend is clear.

When those phones ring in Conservative homes and the question is asked....who would you vote for if the election were held today?....there is stunned silence on the other end...and then a loud “clik,” and then a dial tone. So they call another house.
