The answer, whispered but unmistakable: “Yeah, but she’s hot!” She has no foreign-policy experience, has barely traveled overseas. “Yeah, but she’s hot!” She gets mixed reviews from politicians in her own party in Alaska. “Yeah, but she’s hot!”
...I went to a party (all conservatives) the night of the Palin announcement. Over and over from the guys you heard, “Yeah, but she’s hot”, “She’s also very hot”, “She’s smart and hot”, “She hunts and is hot”.
Yes! I do believe that conservative men WILL vote for her partially because “she’s hot”. Women (except Feminazis) like her because of devotion to family and church. Palin is a winner.
What the Liberal MSM wants is a Liberal/Socialism agenda.
They don’t want a leader like Palin who has more accomplishments than Obams/Biden and the whole Democratic Congress under Pelosi and Reid.
Wrong. Conservative male voters are not comfortable with the idea of a liberal woman as commander in chief.
And mainly because she's conservative, duh. Who else were they going to vote for, anyway ... Osame bin Biden?
My husband hasn't mentioned her looks at all.
The idea that conservative would not support a black or a woman was always bunk. Conservatives are much less color and gender conscious than liberals. Conservatives care about the ideas and character of a candidate.
The DBMs have their minds made up and only support “facts” that “prove” their desires. Even if they have to invent the “facts.”
Yes, for the reasons you specified, but millions of women will also vote for Palin because she's a woman. My wife has badgered me for weeks speculating on McCain's veep choice. When she found out about Palin, she became immediately more enthusiastic. And get this, my wife (unlike yours truly) is pro-choice on abortion. So the lib idea that many pro-choice women will not support Palin is built on a shaky platform. A platform of losers.

The hostess with the moosest Mark Steyn
Sarah Palin and Barack Obama are more or less the same age, but Governor Palin has run a state and a town and a commercial fishing operation, whereas (to reprise a famous line on the Rev Jackson) Senator Obama ain’t run nothin’ but his mouth. She’s done the stuff he’s merely a poseur about. Post-partisan? She took on her own party’s corrupt political culture directly while Obama was sucking up to Wright and Ayers and being just another get-along Chicago machine pol (see his campaign’s thuggish attempt to throttle Stanley Kurtz and Milt Rosenberg on WGN the other night).
I just asked mine if he thought she was hot,
He say “yeah!!” and gives me that naughty smile LOL
I didn’t ask, but all he’s talked about is her political positions and experience. Of course, he mainly gets news from the radio :-). On the other hand, he’s married to a well-preserved lady over 40 who has babies, so what’s new about Gov. Palin?
I only wish I was as well preserved is she is. And she has one more baby than I do!!!
“...On the other hand, hes married to a well-preserved lady over 40 who has babies, so whats new about Gov. Palin?...”
You don’t just have babies, you have a gaggle of beautiful babies!
:-)
Have a great Sunday
(Yeah, Palin is HOT! That is just the icing on the cake, it’s all those other wonderful qualifies that excite me about this election. She could almost qualify as a G.R.I.T.S.)
They aren’t missing it, they’re ignoring it.
Well, yes. But I'm in the general area of the ballpark, with a little effort :-).
Thank you, and you have a great Sunday, too. Vlad, who is 2, just told me I was cute, so I guess I’m good enough.
Yesterday my hubby was explaining to my son-in-law and another daughter’s fiance why Palin is fully qualified and a great choice as a running mate for McCain. He was actually doing well; mentioning her business experience, and her experience as mayor and governor and being CinC of the Alaska National Guard...I am the onery one, I had to say that it sure didn’t hurt that she was an awesome looking moose hunter. The two young men laughed; hubby was not so amused.
My husband is as conservative as anyone I know, and retired Army. He is really happy with Palin as VP. I asked him if he thinks she is qualified to be President if something happens to McCain and he said he does. His thinking after listening to her speak and checking out her background is that she is smart enough to know when to seek the advice of others when needed, so he would have no worries about her being President. This was surprising to me, but I do agree with him.
