If you continue onto RUF to read the remainder of the article, George Obama is actually planning on attending a local technical school in hopes of seeking a better job and quality of life.
I think the issue here is Obama, more than most, speaks often about family values, the need to help those in need, the poor and work with failing nations to better their quality of life -— and yet he has not made any effort to help a member of his family he knows exists and HAS seen within the last 4 years. It speaks volumes about his character.

I can fault Obama for a lot of things, but not for something like this.
Normally I would agree with you 100%.
But this is Barrack Obama, who is running for president of the United States, on the propaganda of hope and change.
Hope for the poor on the backs of the not poor. $$$ taken from the diligent and hard working, the wise and frugal, those "striving" for a better life working 50-60-70 or 80 hrs a week.
His idea is that no matter the reason, no one should be poor. His feelings are that anyone with "more" are lucky or more fortunate and "should" be obligated to help the less fortunate.
In light of this philosophy for life, Barrack should be the first to help his barely known half brother. In front of a Christian forum he quotes Bible verses, and tries to use Bible verses to justify his position. Well here is a Bible verse for BHO
1 Timothy 5:8 If anyone does not take care of his own relatives, especially his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Obama's tax forms from years past Obama Releases 2000-2006 Tax Returns show that for the 5 years before 2005 his charitable giving was only about 1% on average. It wasn't until 2005 after becoming a politician that he uped his charitable giving and only to 4.7% and 6.1%.
Not very charitable himself, for someone who wants to be "charitable" with other peoples money.
Maybe Obama figures his Global Poverty Act would take care of his brother, so he himself wouldn't have to.
How is it any different from all the taxes that Obama plans for us to give in the name of "poverty" and "fairness"?
