This is promising, though it was expected. Fimian is more conservative than Davis, though how much more is unknown to me. And his wealth will be a tonic for his cash-starved campaign committee.

I’ve read that Fimian is a religious conservative and that’s he’s far more conservative than Davis overall. I’ve also heard him decribed as a “conservative Republican businessman.” IMHO, a conservative outsider with support from Davis is as good a combination as we could run in the VA-11-—while I would have preferred former Redskins All-Pro cornerback Darrell Green (a strong social conservative who would be the first black GOP congressman since J.C. Watts), Fimian sounds like a good candidate. (Maybe Green can run for the VA-10 when Congressman Wolf retires.)
