Why attack Fred if he's already dead? Maybe the dems internal polling is telling a different story than the polls run by their allies in the drive-by media? Notice that they almost always use MSM sources to attack GOP candidates?

INteresting that the Dems are going out of thier way and wasting time to attack Fred on both thier websites and in the Press (See-B.S. etc) when all we here is that he is a total non-factor.

They REALLY don’t want Fred to win. They have been beating this same drum for months. This clearly the strategy they decided to use against him early on and everyone is supposed to stay on the same page until they defeat him. No matter how many times he refutes it, they keep repeating it. It's becoming bizarre.
I know they intended for him to be gone before now and they are sweating the first votes. If Iowa caucus goers have not bought their Fred Thompson talking points, the Dems know they are in deep trouble.

The man who America is not particularly interested in electing president doesn't really want the job, anyway. The smelly 'rats hate pieces are at least good for some laughs. LOL.

What struck me immediately was how much his words rang of George Washington's reluctant acceptance of the Presidency.
I was more impressed by that single comment than I have been of anything else anyone seeking the Presidency has said in a very long time.
To paraphrase:"Do you think I would fight a war to remove one tyrant only to replace him with another one?"

who would go into an interview and tell the employer that they hated the process that goes along with getting hired? When the job is President of the United States, EVERYBODY complains about the process. At least he is honest and does not use campaign surrogates (Hillary!) to whine about Iowa being important.

...who would go into an interview and tell the employer that they hated the process that goes along with getting hired? Probably a lot of people think it but few would say it. The dems fear Fred
Sorry Fred, it goes along with proving you're qualified for the job, we all have to go through it.

No, they attack him because they cannot conceive that someone might actually want to “serve” not be head dog.
Regardless of any minor dislikes I may have expressed over Fred Thompson, I have always believed he was in this, not for pride or personal glory, but because he felt it was his duty to try and make a difference. If he doesn’t get elected, the world goes on for him, because he never had a fixation on being president. He sees it as a responsibility not a way to glorify himself.
The press is soo jaded and filled with competetive people that would gladly stomp on anyone to get up the ladder, cannot comprehend this - service not self.
So, I tip my hat to Fred. We need more folks with this attitude in public service.

This will get the broken glass conservatives incensed, upset who would have either not have gone to the polls, or undecided, leaning towards another candidate, to pull their support for Fred.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d have thought this article was written by a Hunter supporter.
