“So you finally seen a picture of her?”

Yeah, about 7 months ago.

And the irony is that most of the people who have shakily taken part in getting behind Fred actually PREFER Duncan Hunter!! Now that is classic. They all think Hunter is the best. At least Hunter is praised by those who see and hear from him!

Knock it off yourself. This is the United States of America and we have elections for a purpose! It is to choose who is best for the country and that clearly is Duncan Hunter. Fred CANNOT win a general election. In fact, the more people see of Fred the more they don’t like him as his sinking poll numbers show! And there is no assurance that Fred would choose Hunter as VP and, frankly, Fred would be doing himself no favors because people would realize what a mistake is was not to have Hunter running. Fred will not come off well in a general election.

One things for sure and that is they are not going down! How bad is that for your candidate when with all the benefits he’s been given with this attempted coronation and support by default, media coverage, being on a tv show, etc. etc. he is going down in the polls?? At least when Hunter has his chance to speak people actually PREFER him even most you have convinced need to support a bad general election candidate like Fred.

Boo hoo. ‘Trashing’ saying how Fred is going down in the polls! You people really have thin skins. I reserve the right to support the best man in the race and convince people who PREFER Hunter over Thompson and only support Thompson for the falsehood that he will ‘win’ a general election should think again. Hunter is the man to get behind.

Such mockery of Hunter from a thin-skinned Fred boy! How does it feel that most of the people who shakily support your boy actually think Hunter is the best and prefer him? With all the benefits Fred had and losing support you really shouldn’t get too smug.

“And Duncan has made his status as an unknown Congressman.

Sorry, pal, get used to it. Duncan is a nothing, a nobody, a null, a void, a zip, a nada, a non-existent candidate. His name was only used as a filler to separate Ron Paul and Tom Tancredo. And when Tom drops out, there’ll be no more use for poor ole Duncan. Buh-Bye!!!

But, I really like him...”

No, Duncan Hunter has only been the Chairman and ranking member of the Armed Services Committee, on top of the border issue from the get go, consistent with a proven track record in his outspokenness to call out the Demonrats on their BS and as strong for the 2nd Amendment and pro-life throughout his career where you never question where he stands or what he will or won’t do. And isn’t that special that you ‘really like him’...

Simply vote for who you think will make the best president, hold up in a campaign and can back up the attention being given them with substance rather than ‘name recognition’. Because ‘name recognition’ means nothing in a general election as it will be one candidate against another and the spotlight will go to them through how they can handle that and it is clear I think Duncan Hunter is the best conservatives could hope for. So he clearly deserves the support as polls are forever changing and nothing is set in stone until the votes are cast. I will stay with Duncan Hunter. It is someone else’s fault when they clearly think Hunter is the best candidate but do not vote for him. I will not throw my vote away on someone by default when Hunter is the one truly deserving of it.

Are you honestly going to claim that Fred Thompson has had ‘national political recognition’ for 33 yrs???? I dare you to swear on all that you hold holy that you honestly have known about Fred for 33 yrs and that you aren’t jumping at support of Thompson because he’s an actor and THAT is what truly gives him ‘national recognition’(in your eyes) and what you base your support on! In fact, I dare all of you Fred supporters to deny that you aren’t clamouring to Fred because you seriously think his being an actor will garner votes in a general election and swear on all that you hold holy. I remain convinced the VAST majority of you are throwing your support away on a man you have to make excuses for due to the fact he has been on a tv show and is an actor. And I first discovered Hunter in 2003/04 during the Abu Ghraib fiasco and Hunter was calling out the media and Demonrats for their traitorous behavior. Fact is, Hunter doesn’t have to play Fred because he is a natural leader while Fred has to try to play Hunter.

Hunter is not losing support like Fred. Fred has had all the benefits or hype and an attempted coronation while most of Fred’s supporters would actually PREFER Duncan Hunter!! People just have clearly not been impressed with Fred as he only declines when people take a look at the man.

I am going to say it and remember this because Fred Thompson WILL NOT win a GENERAL ELECTION. Remember to post all the Fred ping list supporter FReepers if Fred gets the nomination so we can hold to account those assurances that Fred was a sure thing. This man does not come across well at all. He will lose the youth, women and independent voters by record numbers. I’m saying it first. Pull up this post. I am on record. You Fredheads can take responsibility for this ‘but’ candidate you try to excuse away and tell us how ‘electable’ he is.

Statements made throughout the election threads in discussion of Fred and Duncan. The ‘I love Hunter and prefer Hunter, but he’s not known’. Time and again people will say how they actually prefer him and many of the people that ‘support’ Fred. Yeah, by default!!

You said “most” of the Fred supporters. You still haven’t provided a source for that comment.

Yep you are correct. Hunter never had the support to lose. When you start at the bottom and never rise it’s hard to go much lower. That is rapidly becoming irrelevant now as we are only about 6 weeks until Iowa begins the selection process followed by NH a couple of days later.

Let me correct your statement. It should read as follows:

Now that is much closer to reality at this point.

Why is it with all the greatness attributed to the Hunter fellar that he is totally incapable of winning the support of the Republican voters? There is got to be a reason or reasons that the Republican voters aren't accepting him if he's all that great.
