It is strange to see your strong approval for U.S. military force being projected overseas in a nation building exercise considering your reaction to same when Clinton was C.I.C. Did you do all you could to support our men fighting in the Balkins or did you belittle their efforts and make posts such as...

NO NEW ENLISTMENTS
Well come no all of you big strong men uncle sam needs your help again got himself in a terrible jam way down in viet nam so put down your books and pick up a gun we're gonna have a whole lot of fun...everybody sing.......1.2.3.

Have you noticed all the advertisements on TV for the Air Force recently. You can't turn on the tube without seeing one. And ABC News ran a piece last night that could have been called "Top Gun Goes To The Balkans". These guys are desperate for some warm bodies to throw on the fire. Don't let it be your kid.

That was from a thread titled:
Bond claims misinformation from White House

St. Louis Post-Dispatch: Washington Bureau
28 April 1999 By Philip Dine

WASHINGTON -- Sen. Christopher "Kit" Bond Tuesday accused the White House of misleading Americans on the costs and the planning for the military action in Kosovo

Comments like these were common then:

With public support of the bombing going down and the recent accidents now would be the time for the Republicans to stand up. I think the public is tiring of this war and are starting to understand just how drawn out it's going to be. The new Gallup polls show a steady drop in support for both bombing and ground troops.

Will the Republicans stand up? Most don't even stand when they take a leak so I doubt they will stand up now and force Clinton's hand. Congress needs to cut off the money supply quick.

This new found patriotic fevor for nation building wars just gives one the warm fuzzies don't it...hippy?

I'll start having a little fun with the archives on these RP threads...wonder how many more "converted peacenicks" are now chest thumping war mongers?

I don't want to hear 911 changed everything either...we didn't buy that when Clinton tried to use it after the first WTC bombing or the Oklahoma bombing.

Maybe a little history of our own little conspiracy theorists here during the Clinton day would also be in order. Wanna see some?
