In southern Indiana, there is actually precedent for this. The “Bloody Eighth” ousted incumbents in every election during the 1950’s, until the late Winfield Denton survived a very close reelection in 1960. If Hitlery is the DemocRAT nominee, I could see Baron Hill being dragged by the undertow again next year.
